New member and exciting new build. Will be very slow build
What's up guys/gals! I finally have a reason to come and join here. I have always wanted this car and I finally was able to achieve it. I live in Philly at the moment but I am originally from VA. I have ALWAYS been in the Honda game and have owned close to 20 honda's starting at age 16 with almost all of them modded in some way, 3 of them with over 300hp one of which hit 450hp to the wheels. I fell in love with the Type S TL the first time I saw it and it just got worse when my best friend went out and got one cough(Sick TLS)cough. I made a stupid purchase 10 months ago when I went to my brothers dealership looking for a reliable car and there was a nice looking 2010 Scion TC on the lot and my brother got me a smoking deal on it only to find out 4 days later that I had a son on the way. I told myself it would be fine I would just have to climb in the back and put the seat in there but once I actually did that the seat didn't fit. SO... The wife pushed me to get a 4 door car and my eyes lit UP when I searched for a decent 4 door. Took me the last 3 months to locate the perfect car that I would be happy losing money on trading the TC in on. Finally found the perfect car at an INSANE price.
2007 TL type S with 22090 on the clock originally purchased by an 18yo girl that purchased the car with her own money she saved up. She traded it in for a 2013 Kia Optima, ( I think she lost her mind but I am completely ok with that) So I am the second owner.
I was able to talk them so low on the car that the negative equity I had in the TC was basically a wash once I put the money down on this car.
Now on to the pictures. Hopefully I can afford and sneak in some small mods to this car soon but I have been strictly forbidden from spending money on the car till we can afford it haha. My wife knows me too well and knows I would drop thousands of dollars of the next 3 months if I could.
sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, I will take better ones later.

Congratulations! I would remove the front license plate holder unless your state is a front and back required state. It will start to cut into the bumper. Plus, it covers up the "Acura" that will look great when filled in with something like vinyl or paint, imo...

welcome to the site, you can register your color here https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/tl-owners-please-chime-855960/ thnx.
your first mod should be removing that dam dealer sticker and tint the window.

Dealer sticker already removed today lol. My next mod will be debadging the trunk. THanks for the welcome guys. I couldn't be more happy with the car. The front tag thing will be removed asap. I just hope it is not too rough behind it. I will join the social group asap as well. Yes I know hearing that she traded the TL-S for a kia was crazy.

Damn nice looking car to start with. WDP with ebony was my first choice, but i found mine in similar condition to yours - 17k babied miles. Couldn't pass it up. Good luck going slow, it's not easy with this site!

Not too bad man I am not one of those people that hates having the same car as a friend. He didn't get the exact color and all that I fell in love with so I was happy for him when he could get his. He just now has a huge head start on the modding aspect lol. I have to play catch up to get to his level. I think it will make it even more fun to go to shows together.

I was able to talk them down from 26k to 20,495 and my trade from 10 to 11,500. It only took 3 DAYS!! to get it all done. I actually didn't own the car for real til last night but they sold my trade in two days ago so I had them by the balls.

I think you are the guy that my buddy did your suspension over the weekend. I actually live in philly now but I lived close to richmond before moving here (powhatan to be precise).
I was "technically" the second owner of this one but the girl originally bought it under her dads name then switched it to hers then to her husband when she got married so carfax shows me as the 4th owner. Kinda sucks but what can you do. I thought I was legit the second owner till I paid attention to that.
My mileage is jumping fast and I hate it but I love to drive so who cares.

Nothing Too crazy, Finally took better pictures. Not many but oh well. Got new amber VLED front turn signal bulbs and 8000k LED fog bulbs (just for the time being till I can afford to upgrade) and also got some 15mm spacers for the rear ready for when I lower it. All of these mods are thanks to my friend Glenn (Sick TLS)
Finally removed and buffed out the front plate area
