My upcoming final projekts...

A quick update on the wheels:
Tires were mounted, stayed with the all seasons but realized I chose the tire poorly as these tires have carbon fiber sidewalls and stretching these sidewalls isn't the most clever thing in the world, lol. But according to Goodyear, they mount the Eagle F1's (235/35-19) on a width range of 8"-9.5". My size is 9.5; I was kind of disappointed in the stretch (not enough of it) but it looks okay and the lip isn't really exposed.

Clearing TL Type-S Headlights
![](http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/3409/img6588800fc7.jpg)
So, after opening up the headlight as previously shown on page 3, you are now ready to remove the amber pieces, remove the entire diffuser, paint the corner of the diffuser, what have you.
Here is what the complete assembly looks like.
![](http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/2011/img6630800pk8.jpg)
This should all be familiar by now but you need to remove the plastic/metal piece that holds the diffuser in place. I only removed two of them--the outer most two--because you can get enough access and give to the amber diffusers without remove the inner two pieces holding the diffuser. Here's what I mean.
![](http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/8518/img6638800cj5.jpg)
Where the two tips of the clamps are pointing to, those are the two pieces you don't really need to remove. If anything, it helps the diffuser stay in place without using epoxy or anything to re-attach it.
![](http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/6915/img6622800ga4.jpg)
![](http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/5161/img6615800up7.jpg)
I pushed the diffuser towards us.
![](http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/6679/img6639800to6.jpg)
Now you're ready to remove that amber reflector. I used a flathead to pop it out but be careful because the two tabs that hold the diffuser in place with the rest of the housing can break easily.
![](http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/125/img6618800hk6.jpg)
Aaaaand voila:

Oznium Angel Eye Test Fit
Okay, overall, they are great. They're bright, they're thicker, and when lit they look like a full circle, which means instead of the lazy look you get the aggressive look. But there is one problem, the inner ring fits perfectly on the DRL bezel--in fact, it's so snug that you don't even need epoxy or adhesive to keep it there, lol. The ring for the HID bezel however, is around ~1-2mm too big in diameter to fit the bezel. So, I will probably have to cut around 2mm away from the TOP, to fit the top of the ring and to feed the wires. Here are pictures.
Inner ring on DRL bezel:
![](http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/5376/img6652800ct3.jpg)
Outer ring on HID bezel:
![](http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/6338/img6653800rp5.jpg)
When lit:
![](http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/3664/img6657800ol2.jpg)
![](http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/1029/img6658800cj5.jpg)
![](http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/524/img6633800xr6.jpg)
Dual Projector Mod, working at it piece by piece..
So to fit the second projector where the DRL goes, we need to remove that plastic piece that I guess is there for proper DRL halogen light pattern and focal concentration. Here's what I'm talking about.
![](http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/5831/img6631800wv5.jpg)
![](http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/3291/img6634800fq6.jpg)
![](http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/2129/img6635800sk9.jpg)
![](http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/9716/img6636800ak8.jpg)
Putting that bezel back in without the plastic piece was actually kind of difficult, not gonna lie, lol. But I managed to get it in there. It now provides more clearance for the front of the second projector front to fit and won't get in the way of the light output/pattern once the HID bulb is on.

At this point my camera died so I couldn't document many ZKW swap pics, lol.
Use a flathead to lift this tab, and the outer ring that holds the lens in place will pop right out.
![](http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/8726/img6670800nz1.jpg)
Swap them, and put the covering back on!

Audi Style LED Strip Test
I'm not going to lie, I'm quite impressed with how they look, especially with the headlight covering back on. See for yourselves.

I think the headlight cover/lens helps dissipate the light better and the leds seem more brighter.

Hotness! What temps/times did you use to bake them? I baked my old prelude tails, so I'm sure this isn't much different.

hey... brian is a guru for attacking the project, but I fueled it... we were talking on aim and he kept talking about the drl bezel melting and I simply said... why not do dual projectors... at first he dismissed it... but then picked up the headlight and was sure it could be done
I sit from afar shocked and amazed how good he is
