ohhhhh baby
you guys will hate me even more
this is the prototype, doing some testing with electrical tape, and the led strip is still outside the headlight. and in reality, the leds are actually white, not blue; cameras do not do a good job of capturing bonafide light. and there will probably be one or two more leds at the tip. enjoy!

I don't care if it's not the finished product, box those up Brian....I'll take them off your hands!
This makes me glad I've been waiting before tackling the headlights. So many new ideas coming out lately.

Well, primarily this is how the led strips looked, and they are more spaced out than the ones JnC uses.. but they still looked too continuous.
So like I mentioned earlier, I put electrical tape over every other led just to see how it would turn out and it looks 10x better. When they actually go in the headlight I have to figure out a way to make every other led not turn on or if I actually want to permanently put electrical tape over them. The pictures look significantly different than in real life though, you don't see the rectangles the tape make and they are much whiter, no blue at all.
This actually is a better pic, it's more white.
Here's how the angel eyes look.. they are so much better than lightwurkz or umnitzas; the circle is almost a complete one, and they are really bright.
At different exposures:
Oh, and btw, I just bought ACTROS's extra projector, I never told you guys this but I'm going to throw in another projector with HID in each headlight, yielding two xenon projectors in each headlight, for a full system of quad xenons. From the looks of it, the projector can fit into the 07-08 DRL housing and will not melt because the bulb is far back behind the lens. The only hard part is mounting it safely to prevent moisture buildup and aiming the lens.

All prepped for surgery and headed to the OR
And into the operating room she goes...
Under anesthesia....
And I hope we have a thoroughly sterile field because we're going in! My God look at all that tissue....
And the internal organs are exposed.
And the other side is going under as well!
Yuck Let's remove that cancerous amber reflector!

And the finished product!
Test fitting.. some dremeling of the metal will be required, either from the headlight housing or the back of the actual projector itself.. will do more research.
For the inner projector I plan on running 4300K stock, so that I will not lose any light output, since my main projectors have 6000K on them.
