Whose TL is this?

p.s. quite a coincidence the background of your picture looks just like this other guys from the site. I would also like to see a rear shot to verify there's no spotlight back there

I purchased HIDs for $35 and have them on a kill switch, highly recommended. I scared the shit out of someone the other night who decided to play the highbeam game.

Our reverse lights are not bright enough, especially with tinted windows. Got a link for the ones you installed?

...Why? I dont really understand why people are doing this. I have made it all my years with backing up just fine with tinted out cars and never had an issue with seeing anything. The backup lights on a car are not meant to be a light for you to see better but there as a warning to others that you are backing. I am not trying to start anything just saying. +1 for doing something different.

Also i would not flash anyone with those if they tailgate you... that would get you a ticket if no worse if the person crashes and gets injured. Just keep your road rage in check.

Most trucks have tailgater lights. And worst of all it's aimed right in your face [if you are beside them].

At least most trucks I've dealt with had them.

I see the tailgater light more as a "hey stop being a dick"-notice to other drivers. Not something to help rage.

For example, when someone shouldn't be driving with their highs on. A momentary flash of brightness may let them know.

Haha, you guys are too kind, I'm just some dude who likes working on his car!

Ok, no brand specifically, any eBay slim ballast 35W will do. IIRC, the Xentec kits are $40 shipped with a 2-year warranty.

OH, and make sure you go with 5000K...you're certain to ward any late night bumper humpers away

Anyone tried this with the reverse camera on the 07-08.
Would it be too bright for the images showing clearly on the screen or it help with better quality. Just wondering if it would show alot of light beams affecting the actual image on the screen.

I'd have to disagree with that....The back up lights are meant for both more so to be able to see in the night. If it was a thing of warning people you were backing up then all cars would have the back up chime or beeping sound as trucks do.

On another note though it does get tough sometimes to see even through tinted windows in dark areas I find myself sometimes lowering the front windows to see more clearly in the mirrors.

Ummmm...
YES.
In a dark place...how the heck are you supposed to ensure that you're not running over a kid? The reverse lights are supposed to illuminate behind the car, hence the fact that they are always white and have a clear lense. Given, they aren't meant to burn retinas or cause an accident by blinding people behind you...that's just a fun thing you can do in addition.

I've been thinking about it, just haven't gotten around to it. This bulb may be a good alternative though...
