My NBP Dropped on Tokico HP Blues and Eibach Pro-Kits
Did all the work myself. It was quite a learning curve, but im happy to report shes all done. After about 3 weeks, springs are settled at a 1.4'' drop all around after measuring from wheel-centers which is much better than Eibach's 1.0'' advertised drop.....But from reading is very common with Eibachs on the TL. Im very happy with the improved handling and look.
Oh, and .....NBP FTMFW!

Looks awesome dude, very nice. It is quite the learning curve but atleast at the end of the day you can say you did all the work yourself. Any future plans?

Nice wheels. They have a classy look but also look kind of small. Maybe because the tires look kind of meaty. What kind of wheels and specs on wheels and tires?

^^ They are OCZ MSW Type 11's. 17x8 wrapped in 245x35's. I purchased these rims because my factory set got bent up on a bad pothole on I encountered the freeway here in ohio, so when I bought these I got the cheapest ones pssible in 17's that I still liked cuz I thought the city was paying for them. Turns out, got screwed by them and didnt pay a penny....So I should have gone for the nice set of 18's the whole time. That being said, I now avoid even the smallest pothole like the plague! I can only imagine what id be like rollin on 18's ...Scared as shit! haha. Odd's are I'll make the upgrade some day tho. Thanx man.

^^ Yeah, for sure about the rear sidemarkers. Ill have to buy them as well as 2 new winyl overlays as they are not re-appliable. Thing is, I've also got these LED modules to install inside the front side markers (the rears dont fit these) to make them put out White light to match my Switchback LED's and Angel Eyes. Im really excited about putting them in. This mod been done before but I forget by whom.
I'll be dremeling apart my markers next weekend! Shouldnt be too bad, but wish me luck.
Heres a pic I took of the modules:

Nice ride man...the drop looks sick. Did you have to correct the camber at all? Other than getting an alignment?
I've been seriously thinking about getting a drop on my TL too and doing it myself. The shops here want too much just to install springs and struts.

Oh, and 3 local shops all went by the book time of 6.2 hours and wanted to charge me $498 + tax to install the springs/struts. The bad part was initially trying to figure out how to take out the back seat (even from the diagrams). lol I will warn you tho its not for the faint of heart and air tools would be nice, especially if you live up north where rust is more prevalent!

I never knew Tokico made blues for the 3G, I was researching and nothing came up. Damn!
Anyway wow your car looks pretty dropped, Eibach said 1" and it settled at 1.4"? thats scary.
I ordered H&R springs that are 1.4f/1.3"r man if they settle at 1.8 and 1.7 my car is going to be unbelievably slammed, not something I really wanted but...we'll see I guess.

My advice would be that if you are going to be lowering your car 1-1.5'' and are operating on a budget, but dont want or need dampening control (which I must say the Tokico's are great anyway), then go for the Blues. Its up to you, but in speaking to "Excelerate" who I bought the Blues from, the version being released this summer explicitly for the TL just has some reworked valving for the extra 100lbs. Nothing major. Just a reason to charge more $ for the same thing!

the car is looking hot bro! like a stealth bomber!
heres a tip when doing the side markers. dont use a dremel to cut them open. the dremel is too hard to control, plus the heat generated by it will melt it back as soon as you cut it. and im not even mentioning how uneven it would be. use a small hack saw or coping saw like i used. the blade is really thin. put it on the edge of a table and hold it down using a c-clamp. if you dont have a c-clamp you could just use your hands. this will give you a cleaner straighter cut. cut one side at a time length wise then the two small edges last. here are some pics to show you what im saying

notice where i place the clamp. placing it here will allow you to clamp it down good and not crack the housing.
good luck bro, its really pretty simple

Hey Gerzand how much for the blues?
I know KYB makes the GR2 for the 3G TL. I used KYB before and they are very good, at a good price as well.
I will most likely use the springs on stock shocks until I can afford the KYB's. But if the Tokico's are cheaper I may go for those we'll see.

I got the carbon fiber door pillar trim kit (6 pieces) from eBay user
"crownwoodtrim." He has a shop in the Bronx, as he sent me a business card and catalog with the purchase...I just forget the name at the moment. Looks like an awesome company. They do prett much anything with vinyl and trims. Cost me $49 shipped.
The CF pieces themself are raw fiber woven and the back side which doesnt show is coated in resin then backed with some 3M adhesive. It was a perfect fit and I'm liking the lack of clearcoat. It just looks amazing in the sun and is super durable.
