My Interior CF DI-NOC Wrap

Just finished up wrapping some interior parts in 3M's glossy CF DI-NOC, I spent probably 10-15 hours to get all of the pieces done.

Removed door panels, the AC vent, entire center console ...

I also removed the driver airbag to get the switches out and disassembled them to get a good wrap on them, switches don't stick either took a little messing with to get them right though.

The acura emblem is also DI-NOC'd and as a note..

Getting the emblem required using a heat-gun on the driver's airbag VERY CAREFULLY -- if you try this

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOUR AIRBAG GOES OFF IN YOUR FACE!!

Took me 3 times to get the 'A' to where I was happy with it.. pics below.

I also re-did the padding on the center console armrest, saw someone else's thread on it. I used a memory foam pillow and sliced it into a thinner strip with an exacto knife. Got some glue on it as can be seen .. wasn't really happy about that

The switches near the AT shifter are for my Laser Interceptor (laser jammer) one on the left turns it on, the right side is the Parking Aid / Jammer switch, changes the modes of the LI.

Last thought I'd mention the doors on the center cubby actually come apart. I wrapped the entire exterior door and removed the silver piece while doing it then slid it back in after I had wrapped the di-noc down inside of its slot.

I used almost an entire 4' x 4' sheet with little to spare to get this done.

10-15 hours? Holy crap...you could've wrapped everything in real CF at that rate! Just playing...looks pretty good.

I wanna do the same thing to mine, even tho i don't have the ugly wood trim crap, but is it difficult to do? and is it tape or something that i would need a hair dryer?

Looks good. 10-15 hours is a very long time just to wrap items in di-noc. I guess that's understandable because my first time doing the front grill took about 5 hours.

The doors to me look kind of funny. You wrapped the trim pieces on all 4 doors together instead of 2 separate pieces so it shows the crease. The only thing I would have done differently was leave the aluminum trim running down the sides of the center console stock, and only wrapped the glossy wood trim on the doors in Carbon Fiber instead of both the aluminum and wood trim together.

It's carbon fiber vinyl by 3M. A quick google search of "3M Di-Noc carbon fiber" will show you exactly what it is. You'll need a good hair dryer to heat it up so it's easy to stretch around curves and work with. A X-acto or any razor blade will also be a handy tool to use to cut.

Sounds easy enough. thanks for the advise.

if you have any more left over try wrapping your keys. i did a shitty job on my edges but the face of it came out pretty good.

edit: forgot to mention that i have the switch blade key... not sure if you do as well but if you do give it a try!

I'm actually already thinking about that, been looking at some CF / Dark Blue Kevlar cloth that I may end up doing the entire interior in.

I have a yard by 50" of black 3k carbon fiber twill weave, epoxy, respirator, and all of the tools to do a few pieces now I'm actually doing a C-Mod grill & the lower vents on the front grill. The vents are already prepped .. all the plastic guides are cut-out (except the large center piece) and smoothed, roughed it already with sandpaper too.. I have some aluminum honeycomb mesh that's been chromed to go behind these, the grill and a type-s rear lip thats coming soon so my ATLP quad exhaust will fit (which is being made) .. haha I spent way too much recently

The grill pieces will be another thread later though

May re-do the entire interior sometime later.

I was thinking about that, I actually had the fake acura carbon fiber inserts (they're just plastic, I'm sure the wood is just plastic too), the metal parts have tabs that lock into the plastic trim would've had to bend them and remove them that way to wrap it separately.
