My base WDP progress

This is when I picked her up back in 2018, car was sitting at 126k miles with one original owner. All maintenance was done at the local Acura dealership.

First thing I did was switching out the fog light assemblies with an aftermarket pair that were tinted yellow and switched out the halogen with LEDs.

A little later on I plastidipped the grill... please don’t hate me... Also traded my base wheels for a set of type s wheels that had tons of brake dust stains. Got rid of the front license plate mount and moved it to the windshield.

Plastidipped wheels after cleaning them with no success in removing all brake dust stains. Also relocated license plate with part from endlessrpm.

Eventually I was involved in a hit and run... my driver side fender was damaged and there was paint damage on my front bumper. I ended up deciding to go with the endlessrpm carbon fiber fenders and decided to get my front bumper repainted. I also decided to install Tein street advance coilovers and OEM window visors.

Finally got new wheels.. Aodhan DS01 18x9.5 on the front and 10.5 on the rear with +22 offset. Purchased the endlessrpm catback exhaust and bought custom taillights. Debadged the trunk besides the A.

Here is how she sits now.

i upgraded to a progress rear sway bar.

installed the type s aspec front lip.

installed front artwork body shop splitter.

car had spc camber arms in the rear when I bought it, I had them adjusted both to 3.5

Future plans are the aspec side skirts, base aspec rear lip, the rest of the artwork body shop splitters. I’m also planning on new wheels but can’t decide on what to get.

Doesn't take much to make these look great! I cry a little inside every time I see a clean TL ever since I let mine go.

Replaced my passenger side motor mount today. For anyone that is going to do theirs, I learned that you dint need to remove the two bolts in the bracket, just the one that sits horizontally. The two bolts on the bracket wouldn’t even budge with an impact and pb blaster.

i also drained out the power steering fluid and put in oem power steering fluid and swapped out the o rings on the feed and return line.

Replaced my power steering reservoir and serpentine belt today. For some reason the old reservoir cap didn’t work on the new reservoir, so I bought a new cap which fit.

next on the to do list are my hvac light bulbs

Found someone selling a whole aspec lip kit in WDP and finally put the side skirts on. If there’s time, I’ll probably do the rear tomorrow.

I also just switched to full synthetic @ 156k and did a drain and refill on the transmission.

Installed the rear lip today. If anyone in the PNW wants to buy a WDP base front aspec lip, HMU. I’ll sell for like $240 brand new never installed.

Still haven’t installed new HVAC lights but I recently got a carbon fiber hood! I also replaced the rear brake pads and did the major parking brake adjustment.

Had time to drive out to the coast before the state government issued a stay at home order. Just recently had to change both axles and used OEM. I will be installing endlessrpm seat covers, pictures should hopefully be up within a week if I can find time to do them.

Thabk you but they might be slowing down here now, because of the whole corona virus. I haven’t decided on any new wheels yet, but I have been eyeing some enkei rpf1s.

Don’t mind the stuff there, I cleaned it out

Passenger side floor, I found a cigarette butt and I don’t even smoke cigarettes lmao.

Drivers side, I’m ashamed of myself with how bad it was.

Cleaned up both sides as best as I could with a can of blue magic carpet cleaner that I’ve had in the garage for months.

Driver seat was torn at the paint shop and they wouldn’t own up to it, hence the reason I bought the seat covers from endlessrpm.

One side on...

Both sides installed and cleaned up. Overall fitment I would rate 8/10. Comfort 7/10 might just have to get used to it, and seat warmer feels like it takes a little bit longer to warm up.

A little update for what’s going on the past two weeks. I got the AEM V2 CAI installed. I was more than happy to finally get rid of the stock intake. The VTEC crossover is so much more noticeable, I love it.

... and not even about a week later.. I was following a friend on the highway, and he somehow ran over a shredded tire -_- That tire slipped underneath his car and before I could adjust, it hit my bumper dead on. Luckily my carbon parts are okay and the aspec lip isn’t bad. The bumper though.. this things already been damaged and repainted once...

Buffing the tire marks away, this is the real major damage... it’s cracked all the way to other side and the paint is “spiderwebbing”? Across the front of the bumper. I was quoted 800 to repair the bumper and repaint or I could pay around 300-400 to get a new bumper repainted. Fast forward to today, I picked up a type s front bumper face from the dealer for $200 and dropped it off to the shop who repainted my bumper from the first incident. I got an eta of Wednesday until they’re done with it

Picked up the new painted bumper today and this time around they did a lot better of a job. It’s closer to the OEM paint this time than the last time they painted it. I won’t really be able to tell until I move all the parts over but that’ll have to wait until tomorrow.

Yoo, It looks good man, Take another picture when it's more light out.

I work at an Acura dealer so I was able to get the front type S lip for cheap. The rest of the kit I did a lot of digging to find another dealer who would have the rest but shipping was too expensive. I eventually found someone local selling the WHOLE kit for the base model for $240! I believe the only pieces you can still get from the dealer are the Front Type S lip in black/white.

car is looking good....
I probably would have waited to source a new bumper as damage wasn't crazy on your previous one.
one word of advice, stop trying to match the paint to the rest of the body, it will NEVER match.
the issue lies in the way the paint adheres to different surfaces, so paint will never settle and look the same as it does on metal.

The new bumper was purchased new from Honda, because the body shop quoted me more to repair/repaint the original bumper vs painting a brand new one

& I only repainted it twice now due to paint damage. I know it won’t ever be perfect but I can only dream lol.

I recently drove a total of 5 hours to pick up a pair of type s headlights for $70. I got then sent out the next day to Kyle who retrofits a bunch of lights for other members. Saw a tank on my trip and decided to take a picture with it.

I also just recently acquired this...

This is how it looks installed.

Big update! I’ve owned it for about a little over a month now.

I found it on Facebook and then Acurazine and told him I’d fly down to California to pick it up.

2007 Type S 6mt

It was a long 10 hour drive back home, but it was split between me and a friend who flew with me.

I did plan on keeping it stock for a while but I found a killer deal on the endlessrpm catback exhaust so I had to pull the trigger on it. The exhaust makes this car sound amazing!

Note: Can a mod please change the title of my thread to “My base and type-s progress thread”

Replaced my compliance bushings on the type s, not too bad to do especially with the tool that lets you do it without removing the whole arm.

While working on my car over the weekend I spotted another MRP type s in the shop and my co workers type r.

Getting the alignment dialed in..

Also installed a new likewise pro shift knob. This thing is insanely heavy for a shift knob.

Also ended up replacing the heater core valve on my base model, not too hard of a job at all. Old one was leaking a good amount and causing overheating issues.
