Sick TL's! Nice find of that red TL-s with a 6 speed, what a very rare combo. And wow, LOTS of mods to your white TL

Checked out that site they seem to have some nice stuff. Fitment was really good? No sticking up in places? Ties in with your other CF items a bit. Maybe get some tail lights with black accents in them? Not familiar with aftermarket items with the TL , but that would really tie the spoiler in . Looks great as is now of course, just a suggestion!

At first it fit kind of weird because I used 3 strips of 3m tape and was causing some gaps, so I removed it and used one strip and it fit a lot better. I used to have a set of modified taillights but I kind of destroyed them when I tried to cut them open to clean/re seal them LOL

new modified tail lights are definitely in the works though.

Sorry if these pictures come out weird, they were taken with my iPhone.

I’ve changed the front brakes out on my base model and wanted to share.

I’m on Instagram as Yeezus503 if you have any questions on doing this modification or rebuilding the calipers.

RL calipers

Stainless brake hoses

RL pads

OEM seals, other than the package I bought from Carlson shipped via partsgeek was for a metal retainer/seal I couldn’t get a new OEM one.

Wavespec rotors

Caliper adapter

Valvoline dot 4 brake flush

APR bolts to put the calipers back together

After everything I wanna estimate that I spent somewhere between $600-$700 including paint, supplies, and brake fluid.

I got a free set of aspec wheels recently.

They were the chrome 18x8 and peeling pretty bad but the plan is to have a local shop dechrome them, which according to them could take a while because they can only do a wheel every one to two weeks since the process is tedious. The plan for the wheels once I get them back is to powder coat the wheels but I’m not sure if I wanna do a gunmetal gray color like the type s waffles or do something else just as interesting...

these wheels will be eventually going on my type s and as for the base model it’ll have to be more engine maintenance before I spend anything more for cosmetics.

Pictured below is an example of how the wheels looked when I got them.

Nice man! Can’t beat free! Whatever you decide on powdercoat, don’t pick “Acura Silver”.

Finally got my wheels back from being dechromed. Now it’s time to look into colors and a local company that will powder coat them.

These will be going on my MRP type s. I have other wheels in mind for the WDP TL. I have a color in mind that should fit both just Incase I ever want to switch out wheels though.

A little update on the type s, I managed to get my hands on a used carbon steering wheel, got it refurbished and looks and feels great. Also opted to keep the paddles in there just so I could press it for fun LOL

as for my base model, I really haven’t done anything new to it, still contemplating a new wheel and tire set up. Might be looking into some gram lights, but here’s a photo from a road trip I took it on..
7 hour drive straight with driving it about 1 hours worth on super washboarded gravel roads… not fun but worth the views

Installed the hybrid racing short shifter, definitely feels a lot better. I wish I would’ve done it sooner.

Friend of mine somehow managed to do this but luckily the only thing damaged is the bumper, fog light assembly is okay. I have a OEM replacement bumper being repainted now to replace. I’m also having the same shop repaint an extra front aspec lip as well.

As for my base model TL, I swapped out the headlights to a pair of DEPOs, I was dealing with too much condensation from my modded set so I’m running these until I can figure out where the leak is coming from.

Also have a pair of damaged CDM Taillights if anyone is interested in buying them, you can DM me on IG @ Yeezus503

Thank you. I think I'm lowered by 2.5 or 3 inches all the way around. Don't remember exactly how much though.

Update for the Type S, I got my oem replacement front bumper replaced and resprayed along with a aspec front lip and aspec side skirts. Installed new molding on the lip and chrome trim on the front bumper was also replaced with new oem parts.

while I was replacing the front bumper I decided to install led turn signal switchbacks, osraam hid bulbs, and led fog lights.

I finally got new wheels for the white TL!
now I have to wait for them to be powder coated and then wait for these back ordered tires

in other news, I managed to get a hold of the cdm license plate holder… only for it to show up damaged
The CDM plate holder dimensions line up the same as ours however the plate holes are different, no back up light, and no reverse camera cutout.

I see you've got a CDM connection.... Always liked the look of the CDM plate frame but had never seen anyone else discuss it or seen any US TL with it. Shame the plate holes don't line up, maybe a DIY project? Either way, kudos on the perseverance to get your hands on those rare pieces; will be watching.

Finally got the new wheels installed and made it to the UASquad Grand Meet in LA this past weekend. It was definitely worth the trip seeing all the modified TLs and meeting the owners in person.

also price dropped the undamaged cdm plate holders on marketplace to $350

The interior of your WDP reminds me of the Acura TL Concept Vehicle.

Ditto! I cannot think of any reason why they would get rid of the concept car. Wonder if there is a way to somehow view this car. Wouldnt mind buying a plane ticket to be able to be next to the 3G TL concept, weird I know!

Update on the Type S, I got around to installing the Xlr8 torque dampener and replaced MTF with gm synchromesh, shifts feel better but I sometimes have a hard time shifting into first and reverse. Clutch fluid looks good but I’ll probably start there before I assume it’s the clutch.

Also I know the clip isn’t inserted correctly, I noticed after taking the photo and went to readjust.

Recently got to wrapping my roof in gloss black.. took me and a friend two tries but glad I didn’t give up after the first try and kept at it.

Installed aftermarket shark fin antenna cover that fit perfectly over the stock antenna.

Also installed a Yakima roof rack that I purchased a while back ago.

Update on the Type S. I sold it

Did you sell it with the gold aspecs or did you keep those?
