My 2006 6MT AM

Finally getting around to posting some pictures of my tl. I bought it in December with 132k miles on it, it has 134k now.
Timing belt, water pump, plugs, rear calipers replaced at 110k miles. Since my commute is 6 miles a day, I’ll probably never have to do them again.

Not sure if I should because compared to others, I haven’t done really anything to it.
No money to mod it, the few things I’ve done have been inexpensive.

I’ve tinted the windows, swapped out the display and put in one from an 08.
I wrapped the scratched up radio garnish in carbon fiber.
I also installed HIC visors and factory style spoiler.

Picked up a full set of black weathertech mats for $30 on Craigslist.

I finally got got around to buffing the car last weekend to get done of the scratches out of it and all the other crap on
it. Then i touched up any chips with primer where needed, base coat and clear coat.
Yesterday I finally waxed it.
Also put AC Delco synchromesh in it.
The dash ash has no cracks and the seats have no rips, so all in all, for a 12 year old car, it doesn’t look too bad.

A few chips on the hood, hard to see though.

Stock wheels with curb rash.

Scratch on the rear bumper that I touched up with base coat and clear coat as best I could. Since it’s rubber, I’m not overly worried.

Looks good! What brand vinyl wrap did you use for the radio trim?

Reason is that it is pathetic compared to the other cars on here. I’m a moderator on the dd-wrt forum and I have the ability to delete threads, posts and so on.

The vinly wrap was the cheapest 12”x60” on eBay.

I think it's nice that you're sharing your progress and ideas.
Again, I don't have the ability, only senior mods do.

I am able to change your post to read "rockstar143 is the coolest ever!"

and that's what I love about you, Joe...you have a good sense of humor.
I vote to keep it open and make it a discussion friend hangout bs thread like all of mine are...although I pepper in enough content to keep it relevant.

I agree with rockstar143, just make sure you block the 'plate' number for privacy reasons. You never know who lurks here.

No, the compass function doesn’t work. It’s about $50 for the compass unit, then wiring.
Also not sure if other components are needed for that.

Yeah, I guess you are right c'est la vie; however, for those who've had ingrained training over the course of their lives, due to life events/occupation et. al., it's kind of like a 'knee jerk' reaction when entering into/evaluating situationally aware circumstances rather than being cavalier. It is kind of hard to explain. It is not 'paranoia', per se, it's like an involuntary 'always on' switch powered by the autonomic nervous system, if that makes any sense to you. Some of us, who have this learned behavior, tend to 'assume', mistakenly, others have an understanding of this concept.

Sh*t you are young, I'm only a few years older.
Question? You don't have to answer if you choose.
Any veterans, local, state, Fed LEO's, judges, lawyers and paralegal professionals in the immediate family?
Have you personally or have an underage and/or elderly loved one ever been victimized by a mentally imbalanced stalker or cyber stalker or run-in with ID/medical ID theft miscreants/montebanks that left you to deal with the emotional/physical wreckage said encounter caused?

No to any of that.
I was held up at gun point in September trying to buy an iPhone 7 from an online app called letgo. Which led me to totolaing my Honda Civic, which got me into the tl.
So things like hiding my license plate on a picture seems trivial, considering like I said it’s vidible in parking lots, on the road, when I cut someone off etc. lol

A thief will always find a way to get what ever information they need!

Takes to much effort to edit a picture just to post them IMHO. That's what insurance is for!

Thanks for the response, you've been a good sport.

Although, I don't consider voluntarily leaving any type of personal identifiable info 'online' as 'trivial', especially these days, from personal experience, that's just me being anal. Your response above, though, does help me fathom the feelings you expressed below much better.

What you looking for? I parted out an 05 Auto last year and have some left over parts.

Only thing is, I am leaving for Chicago the evening of the 15th and back on Sunday the 17th.

I don’t “need” anything. As you can see, my car is plain. Just looking to maybe buy something to make it stand out.
I believe we are getting into Watertown on Friday the 15th.

Looks like I would be there when you aren’t anyway. Lol

A couple of pictures of the engine bay. Everything is clean except by the power steering pump. Should I worry about it?

The belt is dry and clean. I’ve never rebuilt a power steering pump.
I’ve had that belt off a few times along with the tensioner on my 04 tl. Not sure I’d do a good rebuild on it and then make the problem worse.
Btw, there is no noise or squealing at all.
