Newest Mod!

So I had a week off from work, decided to do some work on the car. Added two 12" Alpine Type-R Subs (1243d) and an alpine PDX-m12 amp, sound is amazing from these subs powered by this amp, bass response is great. Also added a car PC. Used a xenarc 7 inch touchscreen and my laptop running Centrafuse 3.5. Here's a short video of it in action.

http://youtu.be/Rvlpb4yyqUc

Here are some pics:

Also painted my brake calipers flat black. Next mod, hopefully it gets here next week...my ATLP exhaust system.

So I've been busy again...within the last two months I've added on the following mods. The first and one of my favorites...the ATLP Base Exhaust system. Love the power and the sound coming from it:

Next, this one I did last Saturday and its been one of the most fun mods in a while. To compliment my carPC system and my sub setup in the trunk, the stock sound system was missing that extra power and clarity. Thanks to rockford fosgate and Travis (Ucald4), finally gave the stock system some "punch". Those of you who did this upgrade get the pun.

Stock Amp

Rockford Fosgate 4 channel amp to power to stock sound system and bypass the stock amp to give full amp control to the amp in my trunk. Learned so much by doing this mod. Instead of amplifying and already distorted sound by using the stock amp and then my amp in the trunk powering the subs, going straight from the headunit to the amp in the trunk gave me the best bass I've heard in the car since putting them in. This should be a must when installing subs in your car, bypass the stock amp and go straight to your aftermarket amp, it makes a huge difference. I have better control over the bass and the sound clarity is amazing.

My last mod took a lot longer than i hoped but came out great in my opinion. Inspired by Jamie (JPTL04), thanks for all your help with answering my questions and helping me out. This is my new sub box enclosure. my previous enclosure was heavy and HUGE, i had no trunk space and now i got some of it back.

]

Hope you guys enjoy!

nice update! looks like the Rockford Fosgate 4 channel amp will be on my next mod list Does the new amp make a noticeable difference on the stock speakers?

It makes a major difference on the stock speakers. The sound is a lot clearer and louder as well. And running the headunit straight to you aftermarket amp in the trunk gives you way more control over your subs and a clearer, less distorted sound. I can't stress enough how much of a difference this makes with aftermarket subs.

Sarona Roof Spoiler and Black Grill

So I decided to finally get the Sarona Roof Spoiler. It was rough justifying the money spent on it at first, but after putting it on the car and seeing it painted, I think it was well worth it compared to the look of most other roof spoilers. I just didn't like the fitment of the the other spoilers I saw. I was also a bit hesitant to shave the roof spoiler down because it was so expensive. But thanks to JPTL04, I was able to do it without damaging it.

For those of you who want to see what I'm talking about, here is a before and after, unpainted: (Might have to zoom in to see the difference, but there was definitely a huge lip where the roof touched the spoiler.)

Before

After

It really is a night and day look though when its shaved properly and fits the window flush. Here are some finished pics of it:

I also decided to paint the front grill trimmings to black. Wasn't really sure how it would look on the silver so i had to paint it to see it myself in person. Had a couple of options but ended up liking just the cross bar painted by itself.

Decided that I liked the crossbar painted so I ended up with this:

Next Mod: Have no idea -- possibly a sound system upgrade.

Thanks, it really does add a little flare to the rear of the car. I was honestly thinking of doing the black roof with the spoiler but after seeing it painted and how it flowed nicely with the shape of the car and the color of it, I had to leave the roof silver.

Thanks man, I joined the painted grill band wagon on this one, I really liked how it came out though, gave it a little more of a sporty look without ricing it out.

BTW your car is AWESOME! ... I'll try to post pictures more often, I just need to think of things to mod on the car.

VTEC sticker ...I know some people think its ricey, its really to cover up a scratch on the driver door and I didn't want to take the chance of repainting the door and the color not matching up.

Yeah man, definitely doing the tint soon. Probably in the next two week or so. Just have to get some time to take it in. Looking at 20% all around, but I might end up doing 35% because its NY. What do you think?

The hideaway license plate is awesome, its perfect when you want to take pics of the car without the ugly plate on the front. And I like the placement of the plate too when its up now.

Thanks dude. I just got the KP Technologies window roll-up unit. We'll be installing it next week. Other than that, I'm still contemplating the UR Pulley. Other than that, I'm done......

Awesome. I'm having issues with my door locks right now, so my main concern is replacing the fuse box and the MICU to fix the problem. Hopefully it works. I have the window roll-up module sitting in my room, never got a chance to actually hook it up.

I have the stock diameter pulley from UR, and I didn't see any added benefit. The only thing I can say about it is that when the belt is just a little dry, the pulley makes a clicking sound that's really annoying. The Underdrive pulley may have some benefits but I was still a little iffy about it.

Yeah the tails really compliment the rear end, they're really easy to make too, I'm sure there's a DIY on here that someone wrote up on how to do it, if not you can PM me and I'll tell tell you how to make them.

So we spent the Sunday morning working on my bro's Type S. Decided to put on the AEM intake and change out the HID bulbs on the headlights. We also took the time to clean up the entire engine bay since everything was already dismantled. Just wanted to share some pics of the morning work and then the afternoon drive

Then random pics from the Sunday Drive:

Had it for a while now. Thought it would be nice to change things up a little. When I saw the new Infiniti Q50S, it had everything that I wanted in a car and it's a new shape with some fancy new bells and whistles. I just couldn't keep away and I got a fair trade in price for my TL plus money for the parts I sold.
