There are DIY's for blacking out the headlights. You have to heat them up in the oven, pry them apart, paint them and put them back together. Pretty easy.

Some members have kept the OEM struts with performance springs with some success. Since I didn't want to rip everything apart again if I gambled and lost, I chose to just install new shocks at the same time. If you can do the work yourself and don't mind the labor, then I say take the shortcut and just check the condition of the struts and shocks on a routine basis for leaks and such.
I'm very happy with the S-Techs. The ride hasn't changed much from stock specs, and I was able to eliminate most of the annoying wheel gap that plagues most cars. Highly recommended!

I'm running TEIN S-Techs on stock shocks. I'll be getting coilovers once the shocks blow. Keep in mind that I'm on 18" A-Spec wheels, not 17" stockies.
