True. Thats why I said the Mustang is basically a street beast or track beast...But can he drive it everyday and look ballin??? and still smoke 90%+ of everything on the road...NOPE...Almost came from my childhood love of raw power and track cars like that Mustang. But com'on. Porsche 1 ~ Mustang 0 when it comes to choice of ownership...lol!

Hardy Har Har... I leave for a couple days and it is definitely NOT a shock this is what I would return to. I guess I will answer all post I have missed with Yes, No, Maybe, Thanks and HATERS GONNA HATE
And just to touch on the subject, I know PLENTY of dudes that course track their Mustangs. Matter of fact, for some odd reason...I have had 2 guys try to pursued me to try the road course and tell me just how fun it it vs straight line drag racing. Ramsey's Performance (Denise Ramsey) even offered $100-200 off the entire week or weekend session for beginners at Sebring Track. When listening to these guys talk about Road Course, its like listening to a child talk about Candy or Cookies or even his favorite toy...They are so elated!![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
as for updates, I have all 4 of my Fat & Skinny wheel set up F- 17x4.5 and R- 15x10 RACE STAR Industries. I also have all 8 of my FORD RACING #LU47 fuel injectors to convert to that Syrup
(Corn/E85)...Much more to come! In the werkz: Aluminum 1pc driveshaft, BMR Lower Control Arm adj brackets, BMR adj sway bar mount, Barton or MGW short shifter w/bracket Combo and Rubber for my wheels listed above.
btw...Thanks for the LOVE! Its always been a YING and a YANG here on AZ lol!

Man I can't wait!!! I dropped my RACE STAR drag wheel set up at my friends house for powder coating. He will take em to work with him and they will be ready for pick up next Saturday. They are gonna look so mean! Now, I need to scratch up $800 for some rubbers to wrap them bad boys! I can't believe for the life of me the 185/55/17 skinny spare tire donuts cost $200 each and the BIG HOOSIER 28' rears cost virtually the same at $210 each...Thats crazy for those skinnies to cost that much IMO. But oh well.

Looking good Josh.
Always a good idea to get tires. Otherwise it would ruin the powder coating......

Gotcha...I guess I was wondering, if those wheels are track duty only, why not have just bought a set of cheap rear wheels to leave some mickey's on, take to track in back seat, swap rears, swap back when you're done with your runs? Maybe it's my own ignorance...just wondering.
I know they're not slicks
I guess didn't know to call them doughnuts. LOL
But if you're just using it on the weekends, I'm guessing you'll eventually just leave the drags on and trailer to the track?
I know they're not slicks

Right now I am at 12.60-12.70 full weight stock wheels and radial tires on pump 93 gas. I hope to improve and shave off a entire 1sec+ and shave a full sec or so off my 60ft time as well and hoping to trap at 11.20s-11.50 qtr mile time. Every lil bit counts for this obtainable goal

Thanks for explaining...thought it was all about hooking, didn't think of weight reduction. I guess that wouldn't make sense to me since even with my friends all going to Morroso and having fox bodies, I've never ever been to a tack. I've never cared what my cars dyno or how fast I'd be in the quarter. LOL. I just want my car to feel fun to drive.
But, I do understand, and I do FULLY get the difference between a 13 second car, and a 11 second car...
Maybe one day!

LOL...I was not. No diet for me, man...I have my spare, my 12's, my seats and all. I did drop back from heavy 19's to light 18's but that was mainly to feel more "quick" off the line...again, just for "the fun of driving". You're right though, we're all after something different and thank goodness for that!
