Good man...
I'm going to sign you up for a washable pamper class...then you can return the pampers.
But really, you'll have no time for modding since you'll be elbow deep in sh*t!

No shyt! Thats why I been on BEAST mode myself the past 2-3mo... And I pretty much have met and succeeded all my immediate goals and mods... Placing the audio last in my list of priorities.

Hmmmmmm... I wonder if I can find someone to trade my entire audio equipment for a after market exhaust or Hi-flow pre cat deletes and J-pipe of sort... Something I can put right back to the car, you know? Or maybe considering selling it all. Like I said before, it was just a poor investment all together since I am really not a audio head...I was just wanting something better.

I like where you are going with this... First, lighten the load a bit by removing all unnecessary weight (audio equipment) and then free up some HP through exhaust mods. That bish will sound sooo sexy that you will soon forget about having a system. And hold off on installing that sound deadening, its heavy. I removed most of mine that came in the trunk. Now I can hear my exhaust better

I may not even install any in the rear. I have some for doors only to get the most of my front stage. But if I go with a enclosure, then I wont go with any deadening... this is of course if I even go through with it. Keeping my mind open for possibilities of different routes.

After my long wait with MAD HATTER MUFFLER ordering and my requested (No Show!) PORSCHE Turbo Dual Exhaust tips... They decided just to provide me the contact info from the dist. they order the tips from. So, after 2 weeks trying to get a hold of someone there due to the website not allowing me to make the purchase...I finally scored and placed my order approx 2 days ago with STX/Lawson Industries website for my tip...Shipped on their way as of yesterday!

COST ~ right about $100.00 (R & L)

Once rec'd I will def provide my opinion, pics and feedback toward the quality, structure and install of the products as well

this is VERY good information, Jay...honestly, the Porsche tips are one of the only ones that I truly LOVE. More than the dual tips etc...
I think I may end up pulling the trigger on this one day too. I have a buddy that welds that might hook me up with install too.

Installation is pretty cheap on a avg around here Avg 50-65 for this particular job/install these duals on the TL. So all and all, not bad They should look amazing and again tie all my other mods together to add another step in the game.

ShoDooo! and u KNOW! its going to be pic heavy once I get em installed ...Hellz Yeah! I believe someone posted a pic or a link a few pages back when I got the idea to do this install. I was searching and searching and found nothing. Then someone posted a pic with a silver TL with em installed and I knew it was the right design idea and it was then even more, A MUST HAVE!

Definitely stock... I def don't want a ricey note on my auto. I current have only one of 2 resonators and with the one removed it gave it a nice purr somewhat compared to a Infinity g35 exhaust note. So stock mufflers it is

Let me see if I can find the thread.

resonators $100
labor $100

cool sound for $200

now if you add mufflers:
resonators $100
mufflers $200
tips $150
labor $250

so now you spend $700 and will get pretty much the same sound....hence they dont....

when i saw Josh was doing tips, i "thought" it was a good idea to do the mufflers as well....but in the end its his call

True, well, it is an added cost, but some nice shiny and chromey ones could look pretty nice.

I was thinking of doing just the tips too, although since I polished mine, I've been pretty happy with mind.

I thought about that too...
but them being as shiny as they are since I polished the whole inside of the tips, they are pretty obvious now.

Yes... I know swoosh... I know u the aftermarket exhaust on a cheap dude and innovator... But like rs143 said, I am just not into the added cost for a daily driver at cruising speeds. But... I wouldn't mind a slight more tone from what I have now. But... Slightly one more advanced note. Not a dramatic change in sound.

ok...so i think your post has couple typos LOL....

1> its how you modify the sound...tips play a major part in this too
2> as i was telling RS143 (ROFL) its not worth to pay another 500 to get the mufflers when you are not upgrading the piping of the exhaust....

Yes, agree 100% and that's what I meant to say. Just so much involved and don't care to venture down that direction. My goal has always been function form and design... Not so much performance but allowing the car to look fast while parked... If that makes sense.

So lame. Don't give up, your TL is great. I love everything you have done. Just set the project aside for a few weeks. Relax with the new addition to your family. You are going to want to hang out in the garage again soon.
