Looks like clear coat failure to me, or maybe OP tried to clean area with wheel cleaner. Time to wrap it with DI-NOC

Silver should make those pussy prints harder to see though.

No, it's inside the cover... I'll have to dis assemble it to clean it, done that before on 2001 Camry/2007 Kia...

I love the silver!!!

I've got LED reverse & plate lights from Camry that'll fit... Ordered yellow fogs and LED interior kit... Tint appt. is made, 20% all around... I'm about to order a few more things... And I'll plastidip the emblems black, which will complement the silver/black thing...

I ordered the plate frame, it's black and says "TL" in like a brushed aluminum look... I also ordered a blue keychain that says "TL", it will keep the keys from being confused with the RDX... It also matches the gauges!!! I also ordered the shift lock cover because mine was missing, not a big deal, found one on eBay for $10!!!

I'll have it looking nice soon!!!

There's a few things to repair, console foam is flat, but it's hard to notice... Needs a windshield, like everyone around here does... I also may need some other services, the man says the battery is getting weak, but it seems to start quickly...

Front passenger window also won't go down, but the switch will click... Any ideas?

My TL just won't spin it's tires, with or without traction, hmmm... Is that normal? They're new tires, and I know it doesn't have much TQ below 3.5k rpm...

Well, I'm off to a good start!!!

Thanks for for the help everyone, and thank you guy with the 2007 AV6 6-6, you inspired me to go for it!!!

I have thought about that countless times, I don't know if it's done or not... But I'll have it looked at by the Honda dealer when it comes in for service... It has 100% oil life... But yeah, based on the milage, it's looking that that will be soon to be done... I'm aware of that.... Most of the miles will go on the RDX, this is just for around town as it's without nav... I also think I need a fuel cap, this one keeps coming loose, I just don't know yet what to do with that...

The cool thing about that TL is it's truly an iconic Acura model. Arguably the last great Acura model.

I don't know why, but I can't stand the base 07-08 wheels. They look smaller then they are. I was never a fan of the base 04-06 wheels either, but given the option, I'd take one set of the 04-06 wheels, over 99 sets of the 07-08 wheels.

Congrats on the pick up, meatloaf. May you have many happy miles driving your new to you TL. And if I'm not mistaken, you won't have to ever worry about the transmission as long as you show it a bit of love every few years.

Any mod plans? Or just enjoy her for what she is?

I'm just reading this now... I've already dipped the emblems, but they look great!!! I put a lot of gloss, I just never put enough to before...

Im getting it tinted tomorrow 20%, all around!!! I'm also considering getting the roof wrapped in gloss black!!!

Im very worried about dash cracking, it's starting to turn whitish over the passenger airbag area... I wonder if a good protectant will hide it better, my armor all isn't doing the trick... Also, the windshield and roof to the deck lid are spotting from the washer fluid... I washed it yesterday, but the spots didn't come off... Anyway, it's coming out nicely!!!

I never really liked the base wheels either, but they look nice from up close... I have new tires on these, and they have a W speed rating!!! Anyway, I'd get type S wheels, but when I upgrade, I'm probably getting a 07-08 TypeS, so I want to reserve the perks of the TypeS when I get a TypeS, that way I feel like getting a S is with it... Either that, or a 2012-14 3.7 SH-AWD model... I'll drive this one for a few years atleast!!! I'm still loving the TL felling though...

Ive had very good luck with 303 at bringing back some dullness. Not sure will work for you but that stuff works wonders for me on lots of applications.

On the spots I have used Griots Fine Hand polish with good success depending how deep the etching is on those spots otherwise you might need a paint correction or just live with it as you are now.

Well, it will likely come off with more washing, clay, and compound... It's hardly visible on the paint, that's why I love silver, it almost always looks clean... I'm more concerned for my forward visibility... Heck, I'll probably put a new windshield in it soon... There's a place in my town that does it for around $100...

Im more concerned about the discoloration on the dash... It looks good until the protect and dries, then it turns white again... Maybe I need something of higher quality or higher silicone content or waterbed this stuff is mixed with...

Jstn- teaser, I should have only given one photo of (one) taillight...

I know the picture sucks, this is the front passenger airbag area, it's pretty high up, and most noticeable in direct light...

I stay tray parked in a barn, I'm having it tinted as we speak, and I'm getting a good sunshade, to help... Hopefully I can find a product to restore this, or at least help it...

Im just worried this is the precursor to the cracking...
