I have 8000k HID fog lights, and I've been wondering- if i wanted to color match my headlights to the fogs, what would i need? Do i just need new bulbs or do i need a new HID kit with stronger ballasts and what not?

sprtstr012, for HID bulbs you need ballast so yes you need to buy a HID kit
AirJordan23922, since you already have 8000k HID for fog, jsut replaced you low beam HID bulb with 8000k to get color match, no need to buy a new set
Steven Bell, you can either buy after market H8 bulbs that are white (ex. Nokya Hyper White) or buy a HID kit

actually just threw the oem's headlight's(4300k) with 5k fog's this past weekend(thought I blew a bulb but it's the ballast or igniter).you def lose SOME visibility with 8k but in all not that bad.I drove my mom's accord with halogen's,now that's bad.lol.you'll notice it the most with headlight's and no fog's on a dark road. I'm def going back to the 8.5k setup for the summer.
very nice!!!! are your headlight's the stock 4300k?

If you do HID fogs you gotta make sure they match! Do either a perfect match or a contrast with 2500ks, it's the only way to roll.
Matching 8000K HIDs top and bottom, LED DRLs, Switchbacks, Uminitza Halos and white sidemarkers.

Anyone experiencing any trouble with ebay-accord-fogs with HIDs?
I'm contemplating if I should get the OEM fogs or the ebay one... thinking of setting it up with 3000k HID.. or something to match my concentrated-piss-yellow-DRLs.
Speaking of witch... is there a way to "deactivate" my DRLs and have them go on with my fogs whenever I want instead?

I think you average at least 2 threads a day asking the same questions over and over. I've given up getting annoyed, but there is a search button........USE IT.
I'm begining to think that some smart ass on AZ made up a fake name and is trying to annoy the sh!t out of everyone. I sure hope thats the case.

FYI: I threw in the 3k yellow hid fog's with OEM headlights.(I'll get pic's up asap look's awsome). They basically match the OEM 4300k when you look directly at them(slight tint of yellow) but shine a golden yellow on the ground. I like how they warm up blue/purple then turn white/yellow.......

are you staying with the OEM headlight's?

I have the the original bulbs in the headlights, That is what i was thinking. Also thought of getting those 3K also. I don't really like those that start going to extreme actually look pink, if you have HIDs might as well have them put the light they were meant to put out. I also own 2pairs of Hella Rally 4000 and those are super bright 4.3-4.5K. To bad there are only OFF road use only. Also is the stock assembly the best to use or should it be changed out for a different one or modified in any way.

Where did you get these lights? And if you needed a conversion kit for the fogs where did you get that too? I love that look!

That yellow HUE looks Sick Were those the ones that ended being to bright. 3K

stock harness will work fine, and right now I'm running what DNP was running. (OEM 4300k with 3k fog's) IMO it's brightest/best visibility but must agree it is a bit blinding.......

got the kit from a local dealer. i really liked the color output on the road but it was blinding to other drivers. also i wanted a yellow look from the front view. that is why i ended up going with the endurance yellows.
6500K Kaixen headlights & Hoen endurance yellow fogs (not HIDs).
