Hello! New guy on the block

Hi all,

Just wanted to introduce myself *im from Socal* I ended up buying an 08 TL base to retire my z28 as a daily.. I must say this TL is amazing and so comfortable compared to my Z not to mention the gas mileage lol from 8-10 mpg to 25-30 mpg its an amazing machine(not saying i bought the z28 for a comfortable ride nor to get impeccable gas mileage but instead for the track and the occasional canyon carver) .. I do not really have any mods in mind except lighting mods. I love the TL light output but i feel like it could be a little better.

I ended up ordering so Osram Nightbreakers and I want to also black out my headlights and possibly get the ZKW (i believe those are the lenses that work well with the tl projector?) Anyone have any recommendations as to who can do the headlight work? I sent JnC a pm but no response from him anyone else?

ok well that's about it

Thanks yall,
7L

JnC and AckTL05 (Endlessrpm.com) are AcuraZine's headlight and taillight modification vendors.

Congrats and welcome to AcuraZine.

Are those Ventus V12s.. I'd swap those for 555RIIs or NT05Rs..

What use? Clearly he isn't driving it much in fear of the reliable GM mechanical components to leave him stranded.

fear.. shit's brand new. There are some issues with the LS7, but overall.. most LSx powerplants are pretty freaking reliable considering the abuse they take.

Actually, after zooming in I see those are RS3s.. much better.

Yes they are RS3's I got a hell of a deal on them so I decided to swap out the factory Trofeo R's and save those for track day. It has been extremely reliable granted I have only put 4k miles on it and the reason it was on the tow truck because the dealer didn't put the oil filter on right when I took it in for the oil change

I wouldn't let it go back to the dealer after that.. seriously.. most expensive car in the shop, put the lowest guy on the totem pole to change oil and filter. FFS.

Just a GM joke, nothing else, LSx lover.

Plus you know I'd love me some LSx car too.

What the f***ing f***! I've actually worried about something like this when I brought my car for an oil change before, usually do them myself, but it wasn't at the dealership!

Yea I know we're all humans and I mean not to brag but it was an expensive car put someone who actually knows what they are doing to change the oil not just some schmuck
