Has anyone done anything with their Type S headrests or floormats?
Guys,
I wanted to see if anyone has tried to "color" the Type S logo on their headrests lately? I've searched past threads and haven't seen anything. I was thinking of getting paint for leather and coloring them. I know others have suggested taking the headrests to someone with a programmable sewing machine, but I don't see how that could work.
So my question is...does anyone have a solution to get the Type S logo's colorized on the headrests?
One other question...I sure would like to have floormats with the Type S logo on them too. Anyone have a solution or pictures of what they've done for that?
Thanks...

I have the all weather floor mats in black. Wish they had the TL-S instead of just TL logo. I wonder if you can buy the TL-S logo from the dealership and glue them onto the mat? Not sure how that would hold up though.

Good idea...I did do some searching online for floormats. I finally talked to a guy at one of these "custom floormat" companies. He said Acura hasn't given out their logo so anyone can reproduce it. I didn't know if any company has scanned it in and gone forward with it or not.

I own an embroidery business and the embroidery could be done in place of what you have on your headrest. You can get it digitized and sewn out on a piece of leather and then it's wrapped around your headrest in place of your leather.
Your headrests are embossed, where the leather is raised wth a machine with an edged out plate and heat. I have never seen anyone attempt to paint it but I do remember painting the vinal cushions on my boat one year. Maybe look into something like that.
Embroidery is the nicest imo....

mmade...if you own an embroidery business, could you give this a try and see how well it works? I was thinking that maybe a full cover could be made for the headrests themselves and them have the Type S logo embroidered into the cover.
