so guys I finally decided to go with quads on a base aspec but finding the right ones took a lot of time,
so I just got my tips in the mail last week and was just wondering if I can get some of your opinion, if I should weld these on or sell em the specs are 14inches long 3in inlet 3.5 and 3in out let here are some pics
thanks in advance
These guys, from your second link. You can see that they are polished from the inlet to the outlet. Some alternatives just have the tips polished (Ford Flex look-a-like), but the more popular ones on the forum are polished from end to end:

I got a 2006 base TL. I know the base bumper won't fit the quads so that's why I'm considering either a Type S or A Spec bumper. As for the quads, these are the ones I'm looking at:

Just got mine done, tips from socalmotorsports. I like then but I wish I would have known that due to the base exhaust the tips will come out at an angle and sit low. I should have paid more attention to the pictures posted.
So as a WARNING, if you are OCD these tips will not mount striaght out of the bumper, it will come out at an angle and sit low, if you can live with it then you will be happy. Time will tell if this bothers me enough to buy something new or go back to factory tips.
Thanks but they come out at an slant and also slant upwards, it's the location of the stock opening on the mufflers, the stock tip has a "S" bend.
I'm sure most won notice but if you look back at the pictures in this thread you will see all the base exhaust with the quad tip has this issue.

You're right, I suppose it's because you don't have the rear lip to make it sit better.

actually unless your car was a A-Spec or TL-S from the factory, you will have this issue. i been studying pictures for the last 3 hours lol. I guess no one cares but me but once I tell you, you will notice it.
