Yea I have always used nisssan butyl then line the outside with a silicone layer. I was reading on here where some persons just re-use the OEM seal so I was just checking. I have the home depot clamps but the ones GP has look fancy

Cool. What paint do you use? Do you use clear? On my last, I think some chemical reaction is going on and fogging up my inside lens so I bought another set of lights to mod so I dont have to have my car out of commission

I always use Duplicolor Premium Enamel Gloss Black.

I usally do use clear coat (Duplicolor Premium Enamel Crystal Clear) but we were satisfied with the gloss already for his headlights and didn't want to take any chances lol

I find sometimes clear coat makes the glossy black paint dull looking.

Make sure you leave the headlights to dry for a long time. The fumes emitted while the paint is curing will definitely fog up your headlights.

To quicken the curing process, throw the painted parts in the oven for a little bit.

^^^Yes they are, he polished them up with bar keepers friend

GP...I actually think it's when you put too much of the butyl stuff into the channel, when you heat it up it creates fumes too. Because this last time when I reopened and sealed my headlights i got a little of the fog too and I didn't paint anything.

Theres no worries dude!

You mess up the paint job you can easily redo it.
You get condensation you can just reseal it; nothing broken

The only part you can mess up is in baking and heating the seal. You could melt the headlight parts if you bake it for too long.
Chances of putting it in too long are slim as long as you check on it and follow the diys.

I find it hard to believe it's Vietnam too.
I didn't get to go to Nha Trang, but it's one of Vietnam's best attraction.
Pictures in Google look breath-taking.

Thanks, man.

It was funny because he asked me if I wanted to go out to an island and plant/grow some jackfruit trees with him lol

Then when we arrived to the islet which is like a 10 minute ride out by boat from Phu Quoc, he mentioned he owned a bunch of the land of the islet.
It occured to me then that's the reason he had permission to plant stuff lol

Thanks dude

I have lots of pics but they're usually spoiled by the cloudy/rainy weather.
It rained EVERY DAY I was there. When I was there for the first 3 days it rained so I was like "gotta go check the weather on my phone and hope for a sunny day".
I checked the weather on my phone and every damn 30 days I was in Vietnam it had rain.

It honestly ruined a lot of the trip for me, but I still had fun.

Thanks Steven.

It was like 16 hours to Hong Kong from Toronto, then another 3 or so hours from Hong Kong to Vietnam.

This is their main method of transportation:

Underbones/mopeds. They are 100CC-130CC.

I had the pleasure to drive them around which was fun.

Only the rich drive automobiles.
This is because cars are taxed at 100%. So basically the price of a car over there is doubled. We pay $30,000 for a car, they pay $60,000.

My uncle has two cars; one in Phu Quoc and one in Ho Chi Minh City.
Owns like 5 houses or something and owns a lot of property over there.

I think owning property over there is a good investment.

Damn GP...you making me miss India...."motorcycle" is the main transport there as well....and 100-150cc seem to be the most common ones out there....

Some are even more than doubled.

Long day today, working on DarkNite's car.

He came up at 9AM and left at 4:30AM

We did:
Blacked out headlights V2 with anodized red projector ring.
Accord Fogs with Type-S grills
2 Shock Sensors
Switchbacks (ohm resistor in progress lol, soldering job didnt quite make the cut and lets just say he drove home without any turn signals)

First time ever doing fogs and headlights in a day.
Lets just say we were dead lol
