+1 for 3M. Mine was on the car for 5 ungaraged years before I considered replacing it.

^ did you take off your XM antenna before having the roof wrapped? Wanting to do this but not sure if I should go through the hassle of taking the antenna off and wrapping it separately, just leave it white, or plastdip it after the roof is wrapped.

Yes I did and it's worth it.

Specifically, the 3M 1080 film is highly recommended and widely used by most shops that do vinyl wraps.

I've gotten two quotes for this - $350 and $400

I'm wondering if I should just buy a roll and give it a go myself.

I paid $450 for mine, so your pricing sounds about right.

It's definitely doable yourself. The roof is relatively flat. The most time consuming part of my install was tucking it under the roof rail moldings because I didn't want to remove them.

I paid around 100 CAD for the 3M 1080 gloss black roll, it's pretty cheap in US currency, around $75 i think

Good price and good shop to deal with.

I'd give it a go myself as well. As was said, the roof is so flat and featureless (minus the XM antenna) that you almost need to go out of your way to mess it up. And that 3M 1080 is pretty forgiving to amateur bumbling.

Yeah I saw that seller on eBay. I think maybe 5x6 roll should be enough?
