Is $800 way overboard?

The Nexus lights
A/F = $389
Boost= $200
Controle Module= $200

What did everyone pay?

There are only 58 billion types and I can tell what one can do better then the other

Please elaborate on the "blowing up motor thing". That sucks, but you make it seem like you blew out a tire! lol. What happened?

I was running the charger with the high boost pulley (7psi) on a really cold night below 0, and it belw uo with two cracked cylinders, two bent rods,four snapped rods, bent the crank, all the pistons broke in to pieces, and bent valves, so the whole motor was useless.

^ HBP strikes again. I feel your pain. I had to replace my motor after the HBP as well. Note to other S/C TL's, run the HBP at your own risk!

I want some Defi guages. How easy is it to pull the gauges out if I sell the car? What kind of cutting is involved with installation?

are our engines really on that much of a knife edge with even the stock s/c pulley?

Wow, what happens at that point? Do you take it to the dealership and come out of pocket?

the guages are just double sided taped on so it comes off fairly easy, the only thing i cut was the center channel speaker grill just enough to slide the wire through, as for the a/f guage i cut the bezel , so when it come time to sell i just need to buy the center speaker grill and a new bezel, this took abit of planing on my part to try not to ruin too much in the car, hopes this helps

That helps alot. I'll look into that. Thanks OMP. What did your motor swap cost you? Mine came out to $3650 or so installed with the charger.

OMP and Dan...K;
What type of tunning did you guys have to go with HBP? I'm hoping Hondata releases their HB reflash sometime this lifetime, cuz it seems like it's the best match up for high boost and tunning, as long as you're running bigger injectors. Did you guys have bigger injectors installed when you blew your engines?
I know this is off topic, but I find it to be vital info for the F/I community. Thanks for your inputs guys!

Come on guys! Play nice! Rev's wheels are f@ckin sweet, and aznbo's gage set up is inconspicuous and very UN-RICEY. It's easy to talk crap over the internet. Be greatful that people are willing to share their ideas amongst each other.

Bent09;
What kind of gauges are those? (the vid is kinda blury) They look sweet, except I wouldn't want to cover up that much of the speed-o. I love the colors and the way they sweep across at start up. Yeah, the 0-30 range boost would def work better, since we only run up to like 6 psi. I NEED GAUGES...BAD!!! Thanks for posting, bro!

They are the autometer Nexus. I am really digging the record capability. You put an sd card in the remote and you can record the performance and then look at it via their software on you pc.

They have a warning to where if any thing get out of your program thresh holds they immediately blink red.

The peak per gausge is just as nice.

Also you can program what the gauges do on shutdown and start up.

I will try and get a better vid.

I Finally Got Gauges!!!!

ANYBODY STILL SUBSCRIBED OR RE-SUBSCRIBED TO THIS THING???
oH, well...here it is;

My simple (more lazy), temporary, functionality-based install became more permanent, since it didn't come out sloppy and actually looks decent. NO holes drilled or mounting brakets used...Just velcro, black electric tape and spiral wire loom. I'm surprised how sturdy they are when I drive over rough surfaces like speed bumps, cracks and ex-girlfriends.

Gauges are Autometer Cobalt series Mech Boost (30psi) and wideband air/fuel. I forget what fuse line I tapped into, but the stay on for like 7-8 minutes after I shutoff the car and walk away...pretty coo!
More gauges to come!

yeah..woulda done that from the beginning, but I need to get the right size 90 degree elbow for the air tubing, then I can tuck it away from view. but the only way to make it dissapear would be to drill a hole on the dash or place it opposite the A/F gauge...Ill prob end up going with option B. just kinda lazy...so I dressed the wires/air tube black for now to blend in a little
