You should darken up the emblem, it will look better.

i did 3 coats of primer, 3 coats of flat black. i have yet to install it completely. but i didn't think about this until just now.. how difficult is it gonna be to maintain this? like is it gonna be a pain in the ass to keep the flat black looking flat.

ya its gonab hard, ive messed around with this. it chips like crazy with no clear coat. in a couple months its gona look like it has glitter on it hahahaha

i wanted the flat black look as well but i ended up putting a clear coat on cause it just chips too much...

the clear coat will make it shiny but at least it wont chip as much.

with the clear coat, it will still chip but def not as much. its worth it to clear coat it.

Don't flat black the acura emblem imo. The black grille sets off the silver emblem really nicely.

Definitely flat black that emblem...sticks out like a sore thumb and makes the rest of the grille look dull...

Looks good, can't wait to see updated pics.

I would paint the grille flat black and the emblem gloss black.

remove bumper, remove grill, sand down, primer, paint, dry.

pretty simple if you ask me

any clear coat, even a low gloss, is still gloss.... its still gona shine. ive tried it all. and the more coats of clear coat, the more protected you will be to a certain extent.

if you try just putting a small amount of clear coat, it can easily chip. i used about 6 layers of clear coat. the last time i used 3, it wasnt enough.

eh, i was hoping to like it but not sure i do. It seems to work on white and some other colors but looks kind of bland on our color. Black out the headlights and maybe shine the "A" back up and see what happens. Maybe clear coat the grill too to give it some shine and protect it

When I saw the title, I thought you were talking about the whole car flat black.

Looks good, but should left the "A" chrome.

Paint that lower Acura logo black too. I like the way the front looks, what are you going to do with the lower grills?

the lower grills have mesh, and i flat blacked it .. but since the camera was a camera phone, it's shitty lookin haha. i've had a few TL owners who are not AZiners compliment it.

the local dealership even were drooling over it haha. my exhaust set off 2 alarms

i'll update pics when i find my digital

If they made a base-model TL with cloth interior, this is what it would look like.

02type-s: no worries, i like it so that's all that really matters, but thanks for your :twocents:
