Wow, that looks great, Sean! You should have called me-I would have come over to help!

^-- Thanks. I only got to work on the car off and on through out the day so you'd have been waiting around quite a bit. It's the first day of the month so I had to log into work and get reporting done.
Almost forgot, last weekend I got the newer version of the lighted door sills installed. I need to get my old ones cleaned up to sell.

It's been a big week.
Went to the lake over the weekend. It was 3.5 hours away and got rained on 6 times on the way there and she still looked good.
The plastidip held up nicely on the trip. Darn bugs though. Btw, the Acura domed decal is plastidipped as well.
On monday I rolled over 100K. I was out looking at houses to get ideas for what color to paint mine and didn't get to see it actually roll over.
My LR suspension is starting to go out. It's really weird too. Last Friday I was washing the car and my tire brush hit the body when I was scrubbing the tire and it shouldn't do that. I looked closely (it was getting dark) and I saw that my tire was quite nicely tucked into the wheel well. While this nice, I have an A-Spec suspension and the other side had a full 2 finger gap still. The weird part is the next day after driving out to the lake I checked it and it was back to a 2 finger gap. It seems to be getting stuck??? This makes some sense as to what I feel the car doing on curves (especially cloverleafs) when the body roll suddenly increases when it should have hit the max already.
Luckily Excelerate is having a sale on the ISC N1 suspension so what better reasons do I need to upgrade. I ordered a set (Street/Sport spring rate) on Tuesday morning and it's set to arrive on Friday!!!
I'm working from home on Friday so Thursday night I'm going to put the car on stands and remove the current suspension that way Friday evening I can put on the new suspension as soon as I'm done working. Any one want to come over and help either night?
Vader has arrived... *cue theme music*

Have the car up on stands and the old suspension off. Found that the LR end link bracket is broken so I'll have to order one in. It's possible that was the only thing wrong. No biggy though as I'm still glad I got the new suspension regardless. The ISC N1s get here tomorrow. As soon as I'm done with work tomorrow they are getting installed!

if you want i will let you know (from my experience) where you would want the rings to be at, so you wont be tooooo low or tooo high or uneven....
if you want to go with your current height, i suggest measuring everything before you put it in

I'm thinking I want to go 1.5" drop from stock position all around. Which means I need to get out the stock suspension and measure. Looks like a trip to the attic is in my future.
I had posted up my drop from stock to A-spec a long time ago. I'll have to see if I can find that. Maybe I can use the drop amount there and factor that in to get the proper height diff with my A-specs.

dude cudnt explain all this in a text and hence posting it on here:
I don't think you have the shock body screwed all the way into the lower collar. Check out this vid I just made. I have less than an inch of threads showing and it will go A LOT lower.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWYmd7hMNV4
Please note: the video is very quick example. In order to be precise in how much you're lowering the ride height, before you do anything, you need to measure the length of the visible threads between the middle and lower perches. As an example, if you want to lower the car by 1/2", then raise/loosen the lower perch by 1/2" and then begin rotating the coilover body INTO the bottom shock collar. After you're done, re-measure the visible thread length and it should be 1/2" shorter than it was originally.

Some updates:
I've been running the ISC N1s for a while now and really like them. It was a pain getting everything dialed in the way I wanted the but that's partly because it was my first set of coilovers I've ever had.
Also been playing some more with plasitidip...
This is only the first stage for the wheels. I have more I'm going to do to them.

Once you PlastiDip, you just can't stop...
I've got one of the wheels done (minus the hub cap)! Just have the center area to do on the other 3 wheels and then finish up the hub caps so I can get them mounted on the car. That center area for the blue takes forever as it's a lot of taping.

Been a rough week as the pneumonia caused me to miss work all week. However this weekend I got the wheels finished up and then mounted this afternoon. Unfortunately it is pretty dreary weather here so hopefully the pics I took do the wheels justice.
Last wheel all taped off and ready to do the blue center.
All 4 emblems done. I put Krylon Fusion Clear for plastics on the A logo.
Mounted on the car!!!
Btw, the green grill on my roomate's tracker is the Blaze Green plastidip. A full pic of that one is at the end.
I also did the grill on my roommates Chevy Tracker.

Yep, that's Blaze green.
Grill - two base coats of White plastidip (got it from ace and it seemed to be a glossy version of the white not the typical matte white), then followed up with 5 coats of the Blaze Green. This created a very BRIGHT effect.
Center bar - Matte Black
Chevy emblem - The plastidip is on the inside of the emblem so keep that in mind while reading. In order to get proper light reflection and a similar brightness of the green in the emblem I did the following. Sprayed 4 light coats of Blaze Green, followed by 2 coats of the White (glossy stuff from ace) to help with reflection of light off the green, and then did 2 coats of black to provide a solid background so light could not penetrate past the white coats.

Wow, both cars look great! Does your roommate liike the Tracker?
#115
Yep, Heath loves the grill. We are going to do a lot more t it in the spring once the weather is better. Doing the grill with the weather the way it has been was a real pain as it took so long to dry in between coats. A heated garage would be nice.
