Put together a few short videos here. Couple short rips in the beginning, with some regular driving in the middle and some WOT at the end, gives a nice range of what the car sounds like. Best heard with headphones at high volume, enjoy

sounds great! any cruising videos around 75 mph? i'm just curious to hear how the it sounds and the drone at that speed compared to my xlr8 exhaust with similar mods (75 is our "average" highway speed out here...ie not the fast lane)
#365
I can take some for you. What gear would you like? I usually keep it in 4th for sporty driving or 5th for cruising. I swear 6th is useless with this gearing. I still have the back seat out from the coils and it's a hair louder this way. I'll try to toss them back in next week.
Also, I can say it def has less drone than when I had XLR8, but I didn't add a resonator like you did, so who knows

I'm just curious to see how it sounds, if possible 6th gear (even though i know it's weak) and with the seats back in...so in other words, no rush on the video haha.
i think the TD sounds great from outside i just don't think i've heard any in-cabin cruising videos at highway speeds. love your setup though!
on another note, what are your thoughts on the UR pulley. i might put that in when i get my 105k service done.
and last part...we are almost at the same miles, yours said 94120 i think, and right now i'm at 94100 haha.

I'll shoot some 4th, 5th and 6th gear video for you after I put the seat back in. I'll try to do cruise control, partial throttle and WOT in each gear. I can tell you right now, 6th has drone, 5th isn't too bad, none in 4th (this all from memory). Basically, there's a bit of drone between 2500-3000 RPMs, not too bad IMO.
I didn't do the pulley by itself so I can't really give you a good review. What I can tell you is that I did the pulley with the LW flywheel, and the J loves it. More happy to rev so IMO yes, any reduction in driveline load is worth it, no matter how small.
Have you dyno'd yet? Are you the one who was comparing FP tunes between Vit and Dom? If so how's it going??

where do you get the new nuts and bolts for the strut bar?? is that something that comes with the coils?

I see #16 but it says you only need 6.. so 3 per side which leaves another 2 per side.. will #16 work for all 10?

didn't get anything yet. BUT I'm aggressively shopping and pretty much ready to pull the trigger ...
prob gonna go with heeltoe as he's giving me a nice price on Tein SA with the top hat kit/bushings , skunk 2 front, SPC upper and going to try the ingalls lower as well.. Then gotta buy all the various nuts and bolts that go along with it.. Canadian dollar is at 0.82 to 1 USD so its kinda rough on the conversion lol
BUT Im pumped

WTH! I pretty much live down the street from Acura of Pines. This is where I service my car if I'm not up to doing the job and where I get pretty much all my parts from. I wish I knew about this meet. Although I think I was out of town on business at that time though. I'd like to check out your car in person one of these days. It's uber clean. I just got around to installing my coilovers and I'm going to adjust the height tomorrow to where I want since its been a couple weeks and they should be settled by now.

Ok so not a big update in terms of progress / photos, but a big little update for me that I'm very happy about.
For the past ~year, year and a half, the car has started to eat up oil depending how I drive. Never had any oil puddles or leaks on the ground at any time, but it would consume up to a quart every ~1,000 miles when driven aggressively - lots of time in vtec - and about 1 quart every ~2,000 miles when driven not so aggressively.
I've read around about the recent oil consumption issues with Honda's J series, so I figured it was a crap shoot and mine wasn't so bad that I couldn't control by keeping an eye on it after a spirited run.
Well, lately, she's been eating up a LOT of oil, like half a quart after one or two 10-20min runs. One time that I took her in for an oil change my mechanic noticed oil residue in the passenger side rear corner of the oil pan. After looking around for a few minutes for the source, he was pretty sure that it was the oil pump that was leaking. It was a bit expensive to get in there and replace the gaskets, and it wasn't 100% guaranteed that that was the problem, so I held off on it.
Fast forward a few weeks, I finally said fuck this, I'm sick of buying oil popping up the hood and all that bullshit, so let's do it. They don't sell the oil pump assembly anymore, just individual parts, so I just replaced all the gaskets.
Gasket #3 here was shattered and broke apart like glass when removed: Acura Parts @ AcuraOEMparts.com - Genuine Acura OEM Parts from Delray Acura
Been 2 weeks now, and a few vtec test runs and not a single drop in oil level on the dip stick
Me very happy , hope it holds for a while
Sadly, my guy forgot to take photos of the gasket, sry guys.

Thx guys!
Hondata should be next soon. I'll try to do before and after dynos. If anyone knows where I can find a dynopack in southeast Florida, please let me know.
I got a deal from other work in the past, but he said it's usually a ~$800 job, because the oil pan needs to come out.
I also got the HFL module unplugged, just in case it had anything to do with my last battery dying on me. I never used it anyway, so no loss for me here.
New AEM V2 filter was also installed. The original one burned a small hole against the fog light. We've since relocated the pipe a few inches away from it.
And we did an oil change and transmission fluid. She's running good.

Good to know your oil issue has been fixed, im surprised ur mech didn't recommend doing that job when he did your timing belt, because its right there... you just have to drop the exhaust, my guys had charged me an extra hundred to take care of mine while doing my TB and recommended to do it whether or not it needed it because if you do happen to need it changed in the future its a lot of work and $$.

I did the timing belt job over a year ago, and at that time, there no red flags on oil consumption. Above normal oil consumption started a few thousand miles after that.

On the V2 filter - I just installed a V2 intake this weekend and noticed it's right up against the fog light myself - ironic - you said it burned a hole in the filter??? that's no good!
did you modify the pipe somehow? that pipe is a snug ass fit and I can't see how you could relocate it without modifying it somehow. Your insight is always appreciated thanks!

Matt, to be honest, it was more of a very small scuff on the metal mesh and discoloration on the paper element. There was a hole that was starting to develop, but it was still very small. I used to have a SRI a few cars ago that was sandwiched between the hood and fender, and that one eventually ended up with a couple burned holes through, so I didn't want to wait for that to happen here, I could see the early signs already.
My mechanic had moved the pipe last year to clear the fog light. We didn't modify the pipe, we just moved it by using a different hole on the car to bolt it at the filter tab. The pipe swivels fine up and down where it bolts on the TB. I was lazy back then and only now got around to getting a replacement filter.
