Debadging the WDP S.

Debadged....

Tools: dental floss, hair dryer, goo gone/ bugntar remover / microfiber towel

Bug n tar remover worked great to remove the outline which was years of dirt and grime. Patience is key! Soak the outlined letters with the bugntar remover and gently do circular motions with micro fibre to remove. I applied some express wax to the area afterwards.

Nice work, now put them back on because it doesn't look right without them. Never did like the look of debadged TL's as it makes the back look plain.

I think it looks great : thumbsup:

When I did mine I decided to leave the "Type S" badge on and lose the rest...

Nice work bud. I used dental floss as well and a 3" polisher with compound to remove the dirt out line. Less elbow grease you have to use.

Nice....glad you took off the mis-aligned Canadian flag too. I like those kinds of things in the corner of the rear windows.

Yah I think it looks cleaner. Plus it prevents emblem theft lol! The cdn flag was a magnet. I'll be adding a custom license plate frame with the TL-S logo on it so the car doesn't lose her identity.

I have WDP and removed the Acura and the TL, but left the Type S badge. I personally think that's the best look.

it was funny.. my 6yr old daughter saw the 'debadged' TL and said in these exact words:

"Daddy, why did you do that? now it just looks like a plain old TL. no one will know its a typeS"

Ask her about keeping just the Type-S badge, then.

Gotta say I agree with your daughter. Never understood the allure of debadging but to each his own I guess. The emblems don't bother me any
