what wheel/tire specs would look best with the H&R sport springs? the +35 or the +20?

depends on how low you sit and your camber and the sidewall on the tire...
225 gives you some pretty good room to play with.

These wheels are clean and aggressive looking. I'm a big fan esp of the chromium black for my ASM TL. I was wondering if 18x8.75 et 35 would be OK to run 255/35/18 with a-spec suspension and no rubbing. If not, I can play it safe with the stock tire size of 235/40/18.

Thanks to everyone that posted pics of their TL w these sexy wheels.

I just got a set of XXR 527's 18x8.75 +35 offset. Current tire size is 235/40/18, but I plan on getting 245's or 255's in the future. My suspension setup is H&R sport springs with adjustable Tokicos, no rubbing.

I agree, if not done correctly, anything wider than 235 will look too beefy. However, with a 245/35/18's or 255/35/18's I can get the tire width I want without a tall sidewall (beefy look).

TLDude I've never had 35 series tires, but you bring up a good point. I'll have to post that question on the wheels&tires forum.

Not necessarily. The sidewall on 255/35/18 will be about the same size as the sidewall on a 235/40/18 since the sidewall measurement is a percentage of the tire width. I want to do 255/35/18 on the 18x8.75 et 35 assuming they wont rub. I would rather have a little extra tire width which would provide better traction and protect the rim better.

mrlal, my personal experience with the Falkens is that they are crap.
I had a set years ago on my Grand Prix and hated them---compound too hard, harsh ride, no traction. Fast forward to January 2011. The tire guy brings out a set of ZE912s. I tell him my experience and he says, "They've come a long way since then." OK, I tried them. Less than 20K later (on a supposedly 40K tire) they were cupped and howling. Took them back, got a discount on a set of Eagle GTs and have yet to regret it. Dude says, "Well, I know you can't run the second rate tires on this car or it eats them up." Yeah, right. Asshole.
Moral of the story---find a brand of tires you like and just order them online. Find a reputable shop you trust to mount them and be done with it. Goodyear Eagle GT for me.
I ran Eagle GT's on my 05 STi. Loved every time i got to put them to good use, +1

I like these wheels but I don't know... I want the 18x9.75 and I want to use 235 wide tires so I won't sacrifice traction. My car isn't lowered either, but maybe in the future. Also, how much do these wheels weigh? Less or more than oem? Oem tl-s wheels are 27 lbs I think.

You need straps and brackets to use TPMS.

Its just some wire and brackets. Walk into any Advance Auto or similar and ask for a TPMS install kit. They may also be called a wheel band kit.
Here is an example: http://www.revolutionsupply.com/strapkit.aspx

I believe they weigh 21.8, so yes less than stock.

I misspoke. The local tire shop installed my OEM TPMS on my XXR527s without using the band kit.

Pics coming soon.

Also, these wheels are a LOT lighter than my stock 17s.
