xxr 501 are old school haha and their sizes don't go much nigher than 15" I think. I haven't heard anywhere that these wheels are shit, for the price everyone seems to like them.

I personally have yet to hear anything negative regarding XXR save the availability issue of the 527 and 526 models, although I think they underestimated the popularity.

526s look nice if you're looking for a mesh type configuration.

That all depends on your drop an tire size. At et20, yes, expect it. You will have hella poke in the front...I wouldn't recommend it one bit. You could run the 9.75 in the rears, for a staggered, albeit pointless, setup.

225 tire. droppped almost 2" but i was planning on raising the car around a half inch when i got new wheels. what do you think? also staggered isnt an option because the guy selling them has 9.75 all the way around. i wonder how kinggs300's friend did his all the way around.

The guy you are referring to is staggered (made a mistake in the heading of that one)

You really didn't need to quote all of those pictures to ask that question.

They are Chromium Black.

Would 17x8.25+35 XXR 527's look good on a TL? Not a fan of 18" and the shitty ride quality or lame tire prices + heavier rims. Is +35 about the limit of what you can do on a TL? Or can +25 fit as well?

Shitty ride quality? I've noticed no difference, and I guarantee you I'm far more anal retentive about ride quality than you.

Lame tire prices? They're the same as you'd find, +/- $20 for any other size wheel

Weight? These are lighter than stock.

No, the 17s would NOT look good. 8.25 et25 will have 0 concavity and be hella lame.

Stop speculating about ride characteristics and find a buddy who actually has a similar setup, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

okay i think its time we get a XXR thread going for all XXR rims. people tend to look down on certain rims because they are "knock offs" but in reality not everybody wants to or is able to spend 3k-4k on some higher end rims. i love my XXR 521 and i think for the money spent they are worth it. these last 3 pages shows that with the right setup and color combo, they can look even better then rims that are triple the price. but this is just my

Useful note: Using 'WINNING' to describe anything = LAF (first word is 'lame'; second word is 'as'; u can fill in the rest).

Aside from that...wheels are looking good fellas.

I dig the tails on the WDP TL.
