Thanks Austin. Blah.

I'll probably do a 215/40/18 since I want to keep the spacers and fully make sure I don't rub. Plus that means I can run a less camber if I choose.

Tyler, raise slightly, ensure that front tab is fully cut back, it's the metal that's gouging. Drop back a to a spacer a couple MM thinner. Do Rock AUto for adjustable ball joints, ask Wacker, he got a set for SUPER cheap on there and they're all the same...

throw the grinding wheel on the dremel and smooth fender to bumper tab out so it's not sharp either. I bet you'll be fine for now. Don't run out and buy tires just yet...you aren't going to die, contrary to what Mitzi and yuh mutha are probably telling you!

And really soak in that picture you just posted. If you ever mention what you mentioned yesterday again ...you will regret it. We will make sure of that.
Rock Auto huh? I'll look into that

I've already trimmed back both fenders yet this shit is still happening. My parents are not pleased and want to buy new tires.

And you keep that information to yourself J

Tyler how did you pull out the black clip for the rear seats?
First step..trigger thing on bottom of the seat?

Fingers doesn't work
It hurts

Tyler. Done. Never again.
Anyway, okay, you have no idea because it looks deep but there is a LOT of rubber behind that and will never be worn down on that corner anyway. Drop back your spacers or get a camber kit and dial in a little more or raise car slightly.

Seriously...that isn't bad.

Use one hand to press down on the seat, and use your other hand to pull the clip out. It will be very difficult unless you're applying that downward pressure on the seat for the clip to release.

Tyler, my tires looked the same at one point. Get 215's and the problem will be gone. Sell the 235's on craigslist.

I just pressed the clip on either side and pulled the tab out towards myself.

Thanks J! I went to remove the spacers last night but Ichiba used cheap ass soft metal for the nuts and they began to strip () each time I went to loosen them, so the spacers are still on.

I'm probably going to mount some 215s on the A-Specs and call it a day. Hopefully someone on Craigslist will want my 235s.

My spacers are stuck on and I'm not going to pay a shop to take them off so my front are hella sunk and my rear are (sorta) flush.

^^^that's what I'm saying!

Tyler, I know that feeling all too well, man. I make sure to ONLY torque to 80 ft lb now and I only use a 6 point thin walled socket and breaker bar to loosen and wish for the best.

Dial in some camber, man...get that ball joint, raise her up slightly until then...or keep working that fender tab. You're taking the hardest and most costly road first!

Thanks Matt P! I actually can't stand my headlights

So despite what everyone told me to do, I have new tires on the way. Continental DWS 215/40/18. They should be mounted just in time for next weekend's Charlotte meet. I know I know, I didn't NEED them, but I really didn't want to remove the front spacers and ruin my "stance" just so I could run some chopped up tires and not rub.

So until I get the tires and such, the G35 is mine. Muuuuhahahaaaaaaa.

Eric: The TL is parked in the garage until tires next week. You'll see it at the meet next weekend and you can take lots of pictures of it with your fancy camera skillz

HA, but that's how you learn, bud...worst case, let it dry completely, then lightly sand down and go again.
