ChopstickMod v1.0
ChopstickMod v1.0
So, I’ve finally solved the issue of stealthily storing a pair of chopsticks for emergency use. Now you’ll never have to worry about looking like a d-bag while eating with a fork in an Asian restaurant. I present the ChopstickMod.
First, you’ll need to apply the brake pedal. This is the method I used:

Next, locate a pair of your favorite chopsticks:

Next, pry the cover off the third brake light and place chopsticks as shown:

Then, you’ll want to steady your hand as you reapply the cover so that the chopsticks remain between the cover and headliner:

Here are some pictures of the newly installed chopsticks:

Best part, you can’t even detect the chopsticks from the outside:

For those curious, this is what it looked like before.

Honestly, I went back and fourth between the before and after, and cant really see a difference.
good job on modifying something, OP.
I initially had in mind a pencil, but the kitchen is right there and I yelled at the wife for a chopstick, because she's Asian, and you know she got dem chopstickz. I eat Asians with chopsticks too, and like to have a pair handy in my car anyway, it's fun for your fingers.

Anyway, I tried one chopstick at first and decided two would be better, they're just sitting on that lip, just wide enough for two chopsticks. I figured a pencil or something similar would work, if not, trying larger diameter objects
until you are able to apply enough pressure to the rubber gasket against the window. I had replaced my cover less than a year ago with a new one and couldn't tell a difference, the new one allowed as much glare the the original one. I have long drives and this was something that just irked me. Decided to fix it after getting ceramic tint applied. Hope this resolves it in the long run, been seven weeks with no glare.
It's ironic that the guy thanked in this thread
is the one with their foot in their mouth. The info was in the OP and I had even stated "The last sentence in the OP is a link.
" before they had posted, but, I guess it's much easier to skim through an OP and relpy "What the fuck?" while receiving adoration...kudos to you sir...kudos. Does mommy still hold your hand when you cross the street?
