Carbon Fiber Engine Covers

Got Ucald4 to wrap my engine covers with carbon fiber and wanted to show some pics.

Some carbon fiber on the inside.

Got my subs wired up to.

I am not sure about price for the 3rd gen tl, but the cf engine cover that was made for the CL was $350. Basically it was too pricey for 99.9% of CL owners.

I tried this myself and failed miserably. I sanded through the resin into the CF in several places which made the piece unsalvagable. Props to Uncald4 for doing such a good job.

$$$ is no object when you do something like this. I want to know how long it took?

Holy Schnikies batman. That is way too shiney. I think the engine cover would have been enough. And that sub is freaken huge. Guess you don't take many road trips. You crazy kids and your base.

Interior is NOT CF. Acura "CF" trim kit. Have the same thing. Agree on just the engine cover in CF.

I bought a CF engine cover on eBay a few months ago. I'm not finding the vendor now, but the manufacturer was this company - http://carbonfiberwerks.stimuluscreations.com/

Not sure if they're still making them or not, but it might be worth contacting them. Here's how mine turned out:

Sorry the engine bay was a little dirty at the time I took the picture.

I like the center engine cover done in Carbon Fiber, but now it seems like the rest should be done too.

Not sure if you were talking to the OP or me, but my cover for just the engine was $225.

Yeah...I hear you. But, it does look better when it's clean (which my engine bay was not in that picture).
