BLACKonBLACKonBLACK 05 TL MT

Took me a good minute, but here some present pics......

(Sorry for the tease) Soon to come Flat Black RonJon 3pF Devotions 19X8.5...Hence the Title

Tein SS (drop = approx. 2 to 2.5 inches), A Spec body kit, Comptech Short Shifter

FYI.....I'm not gonna clear the headlights, I'm not gonna put an exhaust on it either...I like the stock sound, and I'm not gonna tint the back lights...lol sounds like alot "nots" But I like the way the car looks...One think I do wish to do is get the smoked out sides in the rear like the ones on the front...Someone hook me up please!!!!

Later: AEM CAI...can't think of anything else! Any good deals out there on AEM CAI's????

Ed99, Buddy, Looks like were Twins for now (on the outside)...actually I think your car sits lower than myne!

I'll update once the rims are on !

I thought the thread title was "black on black on black" because you are an African American driving a NBP TL w/ ebony interior.

All jokes aside, you car's paint is like glass! Lookin' good! I look foward to seeing it with the rims on.

I saw these prices for my 04TL the other day. Let me know if these are competitive or not.

I've seen $169 on ebay, but I passed on the offer ...now the lowest I've seen on there is $175 witht the new AEM filter...I'm probably gonna go ahead and get that.

Dam...first thing I saw your thread I thought I will get to see your 3pc RJ wheels!!! haha!!! But yeah we look like twins now!!! Looking good so far and can't wait to see you put those 19inch wheels on. I am still waiting for mine to come in. Will probably take another 3wks I think.

If you like the way the TL sounds right now...wait til you put on an AEM CAI...!!!! I believe alot of places is selling it for around $180 but I have seen it go as low as $165. Maybe it is because they were getting rid of the older intake filter. Just make sure you get the newer onces which is called the DryFit Filter I believe.

Nice car and nice pics by the way buddy!!!

Yeah man...I'm really eager to see how it will look..last thing I heard (tuesday I think) was that they're getting painted...but no ETA as of yet...I'm eager, But I'm not gonna rush anyone.

I'm sure Imma get the AEM CAI after MB's review...probably order it first thing tomorrow morning...I'll make sure to get the new filters with it as well.

Thanks!

I had this mental picture of some dude with his windows and sunroof open, sunglasses, leather jacket, listening to AC/DC. (Yes, I know those aren't the exact lyrics, but it sounds kinda close if you just read "black on black.")

DAMN YOU! I JUST decided to go with the 1pf Silver face. After driving around a notice a few black cars with black faced rims and didn't really appeal to me. NOW that is see the devotions on this car....well....lets just say i'm going to be spending alot more money than I intended.

^LOL...my bad man, I'm guessing you have a black TL?

Even though I like the preview photochop...I dont really know how its gonna look...since the finish is going to be a flat black instead of the glossy finish pictured above^^

If I dont like them I will sell them!!!!

Or you could have them custom painted to your preference. I'll get back to you tomorrow and let you know the status on the wheels.

I don't know when the wheels will be done, he just had a baby so his modding might be put on hold for a bit but he's dying to get it done. Ron's stuff is top of the line, I'm waiting for him to throw a set of black devotions off the back of the truck for me

Very nice.

You're coming out to the meet on the 11th right? I'm planning on being there.

Do you think the wheels will be on the car before then?
