Base or Type S Front Bumper

Alright you guys,

I'll be converting my 04 WDP to the 07-08 front end very very soon. I am TORN between if I should do the Base with ASPECs all around or Type S with ASPECs only on the sides and rear, leaving the front bumper alone.

Let me know what you guys think!!

Here are pictures of two of member's ride. Hope you guys don't mind me using your photos.

Blacktsx05's Base with aspecs

Minkl81's Type S with only apsecs sides and rear

I'm leaning towards the Type S, mainly because I love the honeycomb lower grilles. Also on how more aggressive the Type S looks.

Im really confused aswell, on which a-specs to use, either the base or type S ones. In my opinion The base looks better on front but from sides n back the type s looks better.

Yep I agree with this one.

I'm doing a conversion as well somewhere in the future and I'm going for the 07-08 base front w/ the A-Spec kit and the Type-S rear w/ the A-Spec kit.

Let me know how much it cost ya!

I meant base front aspec and type s sides and rear or type s aspecs all around except the front. I forgot the base aspec rear is different.

base front and type-s rear. I love my SSM but I can't match up things like you. I would like a type-s rear but not in the mood to get the lip then having to paint it.

I really want to do the type s front on my 06. I would get the a-spec all the way around, it looks funny if you are missing any part of the kit.

I think your rear lip is sagging a little. It should be pushed up a little more.

How noticable would it be if I were to put on a ASM color bumper on an SSM car?

believe in P1zzaman front base a-spec and rear Type-S. I did my rear already , pretty easy

I'm doing headlight and waiting for taillight right now so the front and side will come late.

Could it be the angle of the picture or the 04-06 bumpers that make it look big up top and small in the bottom?

I vote type S all around, I like the aggressive nature of that kit, but that's just me. Hell, if they make an anthracite type S, I probably would've had the "conversion" done on my 06 a while back with ATLP quad exhaust instead. Well, it is what it is. Love the way my 06 looks with the base aspec and exhaust though. Tough call on this one, but I vote full type S.

Here is what I think....

If you are going to NOT use aspec for sure get the Type S front bumper. If the decision is to go aspec then I personally like the 07/08 base front bumper aspec kit better. So if you want the aspec kit use the bae bumper, if you just want the newer bumper without aspec the Type S bumper looks better.

philanderer, just to let you know, there is a seller in EBAY called "neondials", who has the clear head lights for the 04 to 06, and for 07 and 08. I did the 07 on my 04, The quality is outstanding, just thought I would let you know.

if you want something that looks aggresive go for the type-s front but if you want a clean and simplier look then go with the base front
