ASPEC Installed (pics and review)

So I ordered the body kit from hondacuraworld and it was installed on Friday along with suspension and gunmetal wheels. I put Toyo Proxes 4 on the 18s and with the change of tire and suspension I will say that is DEFINITELY is a much "touchier" ride. I feel EVERY bump but the car handles MUCH better. One think I wish I had done was picked a better tire that protected somewhat against rimwrecking since I already scraped the everlovingshit out of one of the ASPEC rims but by being too close to a tiny tiny entrance way.

I took these pics before that happened and afterusing the Zaino products.
Comments, suggestions welcomed =)

Looks good!! Damn, I need the suspension. Does anyone know how much the A-spec suspension is without installation??

Oh yeah, when I got my A-spec wheels a couple weeks ago. I went with Good Year Eagle 1. They are quiet and rides just like stock. One thing is when you have low profile tires you will feel all the bumbs on the road, but it's not that bad when your car is lowered.

I'd love to see this package and color but with the wing spoiler. I've noticed most pics on this site are with the lip spoiler but the few times on the road I've seen the wing, I actually liked it.

xtin,

You're car looks great! I have a few questions about your rims. What is the finish on your A-Spec rims? Are they gun metal or another finish? The reason I ask is that I'm in the market for some A-Spec rims and I think the grayish tone of the wheels look great on anthracite (color of my car as well).

Good looking car there.

How much did you get the A-spec suspension and wheels for and where at?

What's the point of blurring out the plates? Do you drive around w/ them blurred out? No. Yet strangers see them and somehow the world goes on.

I bought the rims on ebay for 1000 with the Yokohama tires. I paid 700 installed for the suspension. I bypassed the steering wheel and lip spoiler because they arent my thing. Im smoking the tail lights and sidemarkers soon and thats it for awhile =)

I just installed the A-SPEC suspension, Comptech Rear Sway Bar and 18" A-SPEC wheels with the same tire setup, Toyo Proxes 4 245/40/18. I completely agree with your impression.

The car handles much better. The body doesn't roll nearly as much and the car is much flatter through curves and turns. I feel like I have a greater ability to point the nose of the car in a turn or curve as well. It also feels like the Comptech RSB plays a noteable part in the dynamics of the rear-end.

I'm very happy with my new setup. The only thing is that my car really doesn't look like it has a drop. It looks similar to when I had my 17" stock wheels on.

I didn't add the body kit. I am going to add the front spoiler though.

Had I known about this thread earlier, I would've bought the lip spoiler off of you since I have the same color. Oh well, mine's on order from Tim. I just wish he'd sell the A-Spec suspension, too, which is what I'll be getting next along with the CT RSB. After that, it's just a matter of narrowing down which rims and tires package to choose from since I won't be going with the A-Spec rims.

I like I like I was thinkin about doing the color matching thing with the wheels but sometimes when i think about it, it seems like it's too much. Looking at your pictures of course I change my mind again:P Looks GREAT!!though. You must have dough, or just saved up, to get that all done at one time:P

XTIN where did you have the suspension installed? Did you order the suspension from the same place that did the install? I'm in the DC area and looking for a good shop.

thanks! By the way, your car looks hot

I had the suspension installed at Rosenthal but I got the quote from Criswell(where I bought the car) and Rosenthal matched it. haha. You gotta call around and they will meet or beat the price of most any other dealer.

I didnt buy the whole package together so it would have been another 300 for the spoiler.

I did sell my stock tires and wheels. Brand new for 500.

Bought the ASPEC rims and tires (Yokohamas) on ebay for 1000 and drove to Philly to pick them up.

Ive got 2 extra gunmetals too because its SO easy to curb these.

Hey Xtin, did you also purchase the suspension from Hondacuraworld.com???

I've been looking all over and can't find the A-spec suspension by itself anywhere.

Just a tip, I also have the aspec rims and put 245s on them, since it protects the rim a little more compared to the 235 size tires.

I also saved my 17" rims and put winter tires on 'em.
