I'm actually going to raise the rear a bit because winter's right around the corner and also I don't want the rear slammed to the ground when I have people in the backseat.

Aurthur, your TL is becoming my favorite WDP on AZ

I love the teal RL calipers. Once of these days I have to come around getting mine powdercoated as well.

Can you PM me how much it cost you plus did you have yours rebuilt or did the shop didnt take them apart before powdercoating them?

Think my car is pretty much done for the year.. going to put on my stockies this weekend because of Hurricane Sandy.

I just need to remove my broken engine mounts and install XLR8 62A mounts along with new bushings for the LCAs. But other than that, I think she's pretty much done for 2012.

I have some ideas coming up for Spring 2013 though!

ACTUALLY... I think I might pick up a roof rack this winter puhaha. Dang it.. I thought she was done.

Also.. I raised the rear coils by half an inch. Now the rear sits a tad higher than the front.

The coils aren't exactly the most even thought.. is it okay if the rear-left corner is 3.7" from the fender to lip of the wheel and the rear-right corner is 3.6" from the fender to lip of the wheel. Same goes for the front.. the front-left is 2.9" from fender to lip and front-right is 2.8" from fender to lip. I used a digital caliper ruler for these measurements. The rear coils were set exactly the same length.. but I'm guessing one side might be heavier than the other, vice-versa.

Picked up some goodies from Harbor Freight last night.. went in to take a look at the jack and walked out with a bunch of other stuff.

The impact driver is nice but I think I might return it and get a cordless one, a DeWalt one to be exact (
Amazon Amazon
). I know it might be more but I have their cordless drills at home and they're made really well. I also have a ton of batteries and chargers as well so I won't need to buy those.

Finally pulled the trigger XLR8 62A motor mounts tonight! The noise from the engine bay has been driving me crazy so I finally decided to buy it. Both the front and passenger side mounts are definitely broken.. hopefully I can replace all 3 with ease.

Besides the noise, can u actually see that the mounts are broken? If so, can you provide pictures? My CPO warranty is up in December and want to check out the mounts myself before the warranty runs out

Step on the brakes, put the car in drive and rev the engine. You should see the engine move. I just bought my car to a shop and they quickly looked at it.. they used the method I just told you to determine whether or not the mounts were broken.

Thanks, I think I'll try to install these myself.. at least the front and the passenger side ones. Heard the rear mounts are a PITA.

I've been hearing a faint squeal coming from the passenger side rear calipers when I brake. Don't think it's been affecting my braking or handling but it's just really annoying. Anybody know what might be the problem?

My driver's side rear calipers seized up a few months ago were replaced with aftermarket ones. Not sure if the passenger side caliper is starting to seize up. Car is currently at ~145K miles. Pads and rotors were changed a few months ago.

Yeah.. about that. I switched it out last summer, think it might've corroded my terminals which will probably be replaced after the winter.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then you just wrote a shit ton of words. Maybe someone here can double check my math tho, might be a little off.

Car really has come a long way! Can't believe it has 145K on it, it looks better than new!

^ Hahaha... I apologize everyone. I wanted to keep pics of the progress on this thread.

Anyway.. I attempted to swap out the side mount on the car last week and failed. I was almost done until I decided to take out one of the bolts and put a washers on it.. then it snapped..

So I gave up on the work entirely.. I didn't want to deal with it anymore so I had a shop install the other 2 mounts and all 6 bushings on my LCA. I bought 07-08 bushings and they ride really smooth.. my car feels brand new!

Here's how the front mount looked like

Completely shot.. the side was just as bad.

Getting the bolt removed today at the shop.. they're bringing in a welder to weld something to the bolt and remove it.

I wish the XLR8 mount on the side included shorter bolts so I didn't have to use washers the first time around. I bought shorter bolts so they will be installed this evening.

Felt vibrations while driving the car so I had Firestone check the wheels..

And all 4 wheels were bent. Such a headache.. decided to let them balance all 4 and just drive them through the winter. All shimmying and vibrations are gone so it shouldn't be a problem anymore.

Met another TL at the carwash and decided to drive down the block to shoot a quick pic then another TL drives by and hops in haha.

Haha I love the exhaust, I don't regret buying it. I do however want to get a new j-pipe and PCD or HFPC.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.. Happy Thanksgiving!

Found this pic on my phone. I took it when we had a gas shortage in the area. Was driving around like a grandma trying to save every drop of gas haha.

How much do you guys think my TL is worth? It's almost at 145K. It has the factory navi and 5AT.

Here are a list of some of the mods I can think of off the top of my head:
07-08 Bumper w/ Lower Fogs
RV6-True Dual Type-S Exhaust
Type-S A-Spec Lip
Base A-Spec Front Lip
Type-S A-Spec Side Skirt
A-Spec Trunk Spoiler Lip
Black Vinyl'd Roof
Form&Function Type 2 Coilovers w/ Version 2 Dampers
VarrStoens 2.2.2 (19x8.5/9.5 +35)
XLR8 62A Polyurethane Engine Mounts
Acura RL 4-Piston Big Brake Calipers
Powdercoated RL Calipers Candy Teal
Rebuilt RL Calipers
13" Drilled/Slotted Front Rotors
Drilled/Slotted Rear Rotors
EBC RedStuff Brake Pads
07-08 Tail Lights w/ Tinted Clear Diffuser
07-08 Headlights w/ Clear Corners and Blacked Out
5000K HID Morimoto Bi-Xenons Bulbs
5000K HID Lower Fog Lights
Yellow Fog-Light Overlays
A-Spec Kit All Around (Base Front and Type-S Side Skirts and Rear Lip)
2010 Navigation DVD
25% Tint
Cold Cathode License Plate Bulbs

Mileage has been mostly highway since I bought it at 95K.

FYI, mods do not increase value to the car, if anything, they decrease it.

Arthur, if you're looking to sell, try selling it by yourself instead of to a dealership. Then those mods will be worth more to an individual buying your car.

But I'd hate to see you sell it.

Aurthur, only an enthusiast will value the list of mods you have done....and you need to find one whose liking is the same as yours....for example, i like the ISC N1 suspension and might not valve the FnF you have on there (just saying)....

so try selling it locally....before you decide to trade it in....

any reason why you are looking to sell?

Yeah I won't trade my car with the dealer. I wasn't planning on it.

I did however post the car up on Evo, Subaru, Audi and BMW forums. Ideally I wanted a B7 A4. Always wanted one. But I might just keep the car since I also don't want to let it go. If I had a 6MT, I'd be much happier though

For now I'm going to stop bumping my WTT thread on those forums.. think I'm leaning back to keep my car.

I have a friend with a 335i sedan in white that I've been eyeing but I guess I'll see.. he's not in a rush to sell it so maybe I have some time to part my car out if I want. BUT for now I won't pursue anything.
