Me too
There's some good news though. I ended up keeping the car and decided to give it to my younger sister. I have 07-08 wheels coming in. Almost 160K on the dash and it still runs great!

Only non-stock items would probably be the motor mounts and maybe the rear trunk lip. I also have XLR8 mounts on the car. I'd take them off but I don't want to pay again to take it off since these were just put on.
Everything else should be coming off.
I would love to see the car go back to completely stock. I saw pics of when I first bought it back in 09 and I fell in love again! Haha.
Too bad the car got dinged up a bit here and there from my sister driving it.. she's a new driver so she has to learn somehow.

Got 07-08 stockies for the car a few weekends ago:

Some things to do:
- Trade the rear bumper/exhaust for a stock one
- Remove the roof spoiler
- Remove the vinyl

Man.. looking back at my thread. I really do miss her. Sister is currently driving it.. 2 accidents so far. 1 wasn't her fault and the other she swiped someone
The hit and run from last weekend:

Messed up the fender liner

Luckily someone saw it happened and jotted the plate down. Cops went and found the dude and a police report was filed. Currently speaking with the guy's insurance.. at least I'll get a new front bumper?
Currently in the process of selling my BMW. I moved into Manhattan and don't drive her enough. Let me know if you're interested.

I have lived in NYC and there is NO ABSOLUTE need of a vehicle...the city is sooo well connected, I found it easier to live without a car (with that being said, I was in school and had no cash for a car anyway LOL)....
but yeah, loved the walk, the city....MTA is the shieeetttt !!!

Arthur, people like you are the reason I know I will likely not part with my 3G...in a powerful 335 and you still miss your TL. Jeez...weird bond we have with these cars, huh? I remember test driving a slew of other cars that were all better than the TL in ONE arena or another but overall...I still loved getting back into my paid off TL better.

I didn't purchase the car myself but all the work and mods I dumped into the car was from me.. plus it was my first car so that bond will forever be there. Might just be a car enthusiast/guy thing that a lot of people won't quite understand haha.
The fact that it's already fully paid for makes it much more enjoyable as well. Other than a few things here and there, my TL has never given me any major problems.
She's over 160K now, and I'm sure she'll hit 200K without a hitch.

No doubt Arthur...
sure glad to hear you paid for her with your own money, vs the money of others? the money of the mafia?
I'm an ahole...I'm sure you know...
How about this, I'll miss both your cars FOR you!

Haha sure, yeah I'm not too worried about the bumper since the cops found the driver who hit my car. Just have to wait I guess.
I was thinking about this the other day.. I wouldn't mind picking up a 4G. Maybe one that was in a slight fender bender.. get it repainted in the Type-S KBP. Now that would be sweet. I guess I can only dream!

This past weekend was pretty productive. Ended up trading off my Type-S rear bumper/exhaust for a stock bumper/exhaust.

So now she's almost 100% stock other than the tails.
Then I found a buyer for my BMW 335 who flew in on Sunday morning to drive the car back home. Feeling somewhat sad but again, it was just the responsible and logical thing to do. Took a few last pics before he drove off.

Once I'm back in NYC later this week, I'll probably drop the TL off at the body shop to get the front bumper replaced.

I already have some mods in mind for the TL the second time around haha
Beefy tires on NT03s, roll the fenders if I have to
Slight Drop
Base A-Spec kit
ATLP base exhaust OR Greddy Evo 2s w/ 2-3 fat resonators
Blacked out 04-06 headlights w/ amber corners
Tints

I moved into Manhattan after 2-3 months of owning the BMW. I kept her at my parents for another 8 months and I barely drove her. Although it didn't really hurt me to keep her around, it didn't make any logical sense to do so especially with the monthly payments, insurance payments, etc.
I wasn't too aggressive on selling her but a guy from Chicago called me up and wanted to fly in to buy my car for $300 less than my asking price so it was a no-brainer for me haha. Kinda sad but it definitely won't be my last BMW for sure.
Btw, the car has been dropped off at the body shop. The front bumper is being replaced along with some touch-ups here and there. Can't wait to have her back!

So... tentatively, I should be taking the written test for my motorcycle permit this Friday.
Will be scheduling my MSF course for some time in the May/June timeframe.
