Well the Ron Jon part of my project is complete. I still have exhaust, big breaks and other little things coming. I had the car at a couple of car shows this weekend and got great reactions and comments. Most people would stop, say wow, damn or Fkn A, then walk to the back of the car to see what it was. Since it is debadged, I got What is it? Acura makes that or is that a new BMW. I love the way the car came out and the pics do not do it justice. Here are a couple of pics, I don't know why but I can make the pic of the rear of the car smaller like the other pics.

I LOVE your headlights!! Mind sharing us your secret on how you did your headlights? Hopefully with some DIY instructions. lol Oh yeah the car is sick BTW.

Nice job, you have the same headlights as I do. I am feeling everything except the black grille, and the hood. Is that a carbon fiber hood with selections of it painted? Paint the whole thing anthracite, and I would paint your entire grille anthracite as well, and leave the A symbol black as well.

What kind of brakes are you getting, and all 4 wheels or just the front? Great car and come check out mine!

 

There is no formal DIY but there is a thread out there discussing it. In short, I modified the amber lens by making it shorter so that I just have the reflector part of it at the end, then I smoked it before closing up the housing. I took the chrome parts and made it a black chrome (the A emblems too) so that there would still be outward reflection from the bulbs. The fogs are yellow and the turnsignal bulbs are orange and the reflection looks great thru the housing. You can see that i left the center cap of the fog chrome just to play off the rest of the silver/chrome pieces in the headlight assembly.

 

I did the grill outline black to play off the rest of the black trim pieces. I haven't decided if i want to leave the middle bar silver (which plays off the headlight trims)or paint that anthracite. The hood is CF and actually looks phenominal in person and I got much props for it. There is a black pin stripe which sets off the cf from the anthracite and it is smooth to the touch, no step because we wet sanded and cleared over the entire hood. I think it actually looks classy, not ricey.

I will do 4 wheel and just waiting to see yours (i think it's you w/the wild wood). Rotora has a complete set and i am speaking with the owners of Baer racing here in town.

yeah if you want to do something with a custom bbk for all the wheels, the cheapest and most visually appealing set-up would be a set of custom wilwood's. we are just finishing them and we actually have the acura text engraved onto the caliper. Metallic colors are possible, and so are pearl's, and if your looking at rotora, ap-racing, or even baer, chances are a custom kit designed just for our cars will perform and fit better. Let me know what you think.

BEST RON JON TO DATE. I LIKE THE KIT, ESPECIALLY THE SIDE AND REAR, plus the clear corners blends well. I think the carbon fiber hood looks right on this car.
Is this is new Ron Jon kit or same as before? Reminds me of night rider or star wars, back to the future, entirely changes the car.

Dude, do the smoked films on the tail lights and markers... look at the rest of the car... the red needs to be smoked!

I just noticed the rear, and how you painted that section between the tail pipes, Def the way to go with the two tyone. Those pics are absolutely beautiful too. Just the way i would do my TL... if i had one. What shows do you have planned for this coming year? And you need vinyl and RJ emblems too.
