3wk Old TL w/ Tints/ClearBra (56k warning)
Just thought I'd share my new car. I got my tints/clear bra done this weekend. 50/35 Madico Charcool (no Navi problems so far) and VentureShield clear bra. I'm pretty satisfied with the VentureShield install. No orange peel look and you can only see the cutoff line looking down the hood...not up.
LED interior lights should be in the mail!

Paid $690 for the bra. They did the bumper, hood, mirrors and headlights. It's probably a little bit more than other shops in the Bay Area, but I think they did a great job on the install. The installer actually does a lot of exotics and sometimes goes on road trips with his crew to do group installs around the country. He was working on 2 Ferrari's when I was there.
And yes I know the rims look horrible! The front ones look even worse since the soapy water they used to apply the bra got into the rims and mixed with the Brembo dust and made a black streaky mess! Can't wash it until this weekend anyway until the bra cures so I guess I'll let the rims look like crap until Saturday.
No waxing for 3-4 weeks either...but it'll give me time to order some Zaino.

I've just ordered from the Zaino website: http://www.zainostore.com with no problems whatsoever. It takes about a week for it to be delivered.

Yup, I got it done by Premier. I highly recommend them.
Premier Mobile Group
I did get the precut kit, so they only tucked under the hood, but it still looks really good. I'll try to get pictures of the hood/fender edges up later today.
I didn't go for a custom install mainly because I didn't want to pay the extra money, and since I had them do my tints too, I'm not sure if they could finish in a day. The precut kit is fine, but I still do wonder how much they'd charge to do it custom. Premier does custom work so they actually can cover your whole hood if you want to. (Hell, they can wrap your whole car if you want...I think they did it on a Lotus before).
Are you thinking of having Premier do your car? I see you're in SoCal, so are they taking a road trip down there soon or are you planning on coming up to the shop?

Premier is having another Socal tour the end of July. The quoted me $790 for the TL. Did they charge you $100 less than they quoted me because they also tinted your car or is it just their normal price? They would charge $190 more for custom bumper.
Yes, they can wrap the whole car. They've done a number of Enzos, M5s, and so on.

My tints and clear bra were quoted independently ($690 clear bra, $290 tints).
I'm guessing they quoted me $690 since I was having them do it in their shop? Maybe you get charged for their travel expenses or something. How does their tour work? Are they going to install in your garage, or do they have a place for you to bring your car to?
I'm not sure what other prices you've been getting around in SoCal, but I still think they're worth it.

That's what I was thinking too. Maybe it's the travel expenses and what not.
They are going to install in my garage. I've been getting prices from about $500 per car, with Venture, and he will come to my house, to $1200 with Llumar and I have to drive to this guy's shop.
It isn't easy to find someone who will wrap around the edges as most precut kits are designed to stop just a few mm from the edges for ease of installation.
If you can snap some pics of the edges, especially on the bumper and fenders, I'd greatly appreciate it.
BTW, you have the best color! I'm bias, of course.

Hey, I was thinking about getting tints real soon.. I was wondering if you can take a picture of your tints kinda upclose for me? I'm debating whether or not I should get 35, 30, or 20...kinda leaning towards 35 since it's not too dark or too light. How you like his work on the tints?
thanks in advance

For the tints, I think 35 is a good %. I was too scared to do 35 all around so I did 35/50. The Madico Charcool is more smokey than pure reflective, so I think it looks good.
Premier didn't install moleskin but just suggested that every week you roll the windows down, wrap a credit card or something like that in a wet shop towel and just wipe your rubber seals. I have no scratches so far and hope that I don't get any. Quarter window was done perfectly also. They did a really good job with the tints but they don't install moleskin and if you want ceramic, they only carry Madico's new ceramic line which only goes to 60%.
Here's some close-ups of the film cutoff line on the bumper, fender and hood. On the bumper, the cutoff line is right at the flare around the wheel well. I don't think it looks bad, but I'm sure their custom install would look much better.
Here's the hood tucked in, the fender on the right:

260 HP, if you end up getting the custom bumper, you must post pictures!

RG129, thank you very much for the detailed photos. They are exactly what I need!!
Looking at the bumper part, I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't go all the way to the wheel well. But I don't really want to pay the additional $190 for the custom bumper.
Oh, btw, did they remove the grill pieces to install the hood and bumper pieces? Did they tuck the film under the grill?

Thanks for the thumbs up to them. I had them do my new RL today. I went with the custom nose shield and ceramic tint on all of the windows. The heat reduction for the tint is much better than what I had on my RSX. This forum's awesome! Thanks for sharing.

ADVANCE.
Man that clear bra is pretty cool. I've heard a lot of great stuff on the bra.. Good investment and way to post those pics up too. Also on the tint and moleskin, I have 50% up front and 20% on the backs... but the 35 is just right... So far cops haven't tripped off me yet.. *fingers crossed* Yall know how it is in the Bay Area for the Bay folks... As for the moleskin, not really needed if you aren't lazy to clean, but for me I had to get them cuz my first tint job, the tint started to get scratched up within my 3rd 4th roll down.. Went back to the tint shop had them redo my tint (which they did for free) but they wouldn't put on the moleskin, so my brother in law and I did it ourselves there while they stripped the old tint. Pretty easy... So far there are no scratches on my windows... I always roll them up and down, up and down and it still looks brand new... Stupid how the weather strip didn't come with felt... Other than that, love the fact we got a lot of TL's in the Bay Area... Keep up the good work yall... TL's RULE! haha..
Sorry about the blabbering....PEACE!
