Car looks titties as always!
I had that door thing happen to me last time I was replacing the door lock actuators in the wife's Accord. Pull the handle and it's just like a wet noodle. Feels bad man.
Get to do the Dukes of Hazzard thing for a while and roll down the window, open from the outside, roll up window. Give the ladies a smirk, a nod, and say "yeah, hard to believe it, but it's paid off".

Thank you brotha! I really appreciate the kind words. I pulled the door panel off and found the issue right away. The plastic tab on the door handle cable snapped and came undone. I temp. fixed it by putting gorilla tape to hold it in place. I ordered a new OEM cable. I can't be all that upset, it's the original cable.

I apperciate the kind words. Yes, lots of great memories back then, as I call them the good ole days. I'm the only one with the TL still. It's a shame how these vehicles end up now.

It's not always an easy fight. I keep saying to myself "It has to be worth it".
Now that it happened, I'm sure ill be super cautious with the handle.

Replaced the drivers door handle cable. Took my time removing everything since the plastic weather seal was never removed. I called around to get a few estimates on repairing the headliner. Some exciting news, my wife surprised me with a video shoot of my TL. Might happen next weekend.

As some already know the video shoot didnt happen with the TL due to an on going issue I had with the drivers front tire constantly losing air. The day of the video shoot, I took the wheel off the car and inspected the rim and tire. Some soapy water and I found the leak. It was coming from the bead. I didnt see any damages to the inner barrel of the rim so I figured the tire was done. Ordered 4x new continental extreme dws tires and had a shop replace them today. They took their time with the wheels, cleaned up the inner barrels and inspected the defective tire. Sure enough, the tire bead was ripped. They claim all the tires are holding air, I haven't had time to check. I'll check them out tomorrow.
The shop was kind enough to clean my wheels, apply some tire shiner and stow away my spare. Come to think of it, I need to check where they left the lug nut socket.. the tires on the vehicle were at least 7 years old and had some dry rotting, so it was time for fresh tires. The short distance back home and the ride was much smoother and quieter.
unfortunately, rain the next two days and back to rain on Sunday. I may not have enough time to get the TL ready for the video shoot this Saturday. Haven't had much luck either with the headliner. One of the best and local shop just closed their doors. It's looking like I'll be ordering a new one from Acura. I'll see if my previous Acura dealer can get me one. When I cross that bridge with the headliner, I plan on cleaning up all the things that I remove. Other than that, next month I'll be putting the A-Specs back on.

Got my new headliner. Shop is doing the install, I'll pick it up after work. I gave them a few blankets to cover the dashboard and seats while the headliner gets replaced. I'm keeping my old headliner for now.

Picked up my old headliner from the shop. I didn't realize it was sagging in as many spots. Video shoot is on for Sunday. I'll spend Saturday cleaning it up and figure out how to fix the seat back covers since the mold that holds the clips broke.

I spent 6 hours deep cleaning the TL and getting it ready for the video shoot tomorrow. Decided to give the carpet a nice cleaning including the carpet mats. Magic cleaned the bottoms of the door panels, kick panels ect. Cleaned up the rest of the interior panels and glass. Leather cleaned and conditioned the seats, doors and dash board. Waxed all the CF trims. Went a bit over board by removing the front wheels to clean up the calipers, cleaned the gas cap area and around the body of the trunk area. Finished with a detail of the exhaust system and everything under the hood. The biggest pain in the ass are the wheels because of the spokes. Checked the tire pressures, all are at 38 PSI. The new tires resolved the tire leak issue. Headliner looking minty now. I attempted to fix the seat back covers. I'll see if it's fixed by tomorrow since I used adhesive which needs 24 hours to cure. Next to address is the damn window tints because they are scratched to all hell. It's the only thing I never addressed since buying this car in 2007.

It's been a blast with the NSX. Heading off to dinner soon and dropping off the NSX after. A lot of broken necks, selfies and thumbs up. This is an Acura worth the money.

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the ride! Definitely good to hear something good about an Acura!
Pics are awesome! The cars look like old friends hanging out together!
You even got the yellow... is that a new color?

The NSX is certainly a different animal when compared to the new TLX. I personally don't like the new TLX because for the value, it's not the Acura you'd expect. Spending that type of $$ for a vehicle that already has drive-ability issues is absurd. The NSX is the complete opposite. This throttle response was down right exhilarating. The handling is exactly what you'd expect from a vehicle of this type. When compared to the Lamborghini Gallardo we rented, the NSX is better. The yellow is a 2020 color option. We got a lot of compliments, thumbs up and people taking photos / selfies. The biggest kicker, not many knew this was an Acura NSX. They saw this beautiful yellow sports car and it grabbed their attention. One female said "It's a nice looking sports car but it's not an exotic". Granted, we all know the NSX is an exotic sports car. I didn't like the navi/radio or the gauge cluster. The navi seems like it was taken right out of my TL with slightly better graphics. The gauge cluster is not my style, but it works for what it is. The rear view camera was terrible. The last thing I didn't like, the headlights weren't all that great at night. Is it worth the price? Used for sure, new perhaps when compared to the rest of the super car world.

the fact that most of us can't afford one makes it as exotic as any car that the term was coined for.
Japan is further from Italy and Germany if you really think about it.
Glad you enjoyed it, man...
I don't like the red brakes and seats on yellow...
but I do love the color of the car.

There is one other thing you neglected to mention. I have a feeling the NSX is going to be far cheaper to maintain than a Lambo. Not sure what all goes into the NSX, but I can imagine the mechanical technology is probably still somewhat simple, adding more to it's value.
Glad you love it, Gus. It seems the NSX is definitely an underrated value!

I forgot to post this. A while back the original owner of my TL had sent me a photo of how it looked like prior to selling. This was around 2006, a few months before I bought it.

Too awesome on too many different levels.
Your TL is still something special and that video proves it. Very cool, Gus.

Kind of a shame it was all music and he didn't cut the audio at the end for some boost whine. I was hoping that was coming but alas, no.
Solid shoot though; I liked some of the shots a lot.
