XLR8 side motor mount question
so i had my ground wire clamped under the xlr8 motor mount (no ground location after replacement) for a year or two now, but just had my 105k service done and the shop forgot to reinstall the ground wire under the mount, so now it's just loose.
i want to install it more permanently this time, and was looking to put it between the top bracket and the bolt as shown in the picture below. this is NOT my picture, but can be used to reference what i'm talking about. my only concern is that the mount is coated and isn't conductive, so i'm hoping that the ground path will work through the bolt.

can i put the ground between the head of the bolt and the top of the xlr8 bracket? or should i put it between the engine block and the bottom of the xlr8 mount as shown in someone's picture above?
really sucks that the xlr8 mounts don't have a mounting hole...

haha nice! i've been trying to figure out what it's for but i think it's just part of a total ground system (kind of like a big 3), not critical but i'd like to get it back in there.
maybe that's why your engine blew up!! i kid i kid

put it under the bolt. Just sand down the area.
you don't want to put an uneven load on the motor mount. Remember OEM was connected to rubber mount to the motor. So you should get away with just putting it in under the bolt.

^ I would just put it under the bolt as well. We haven't heard any issues arise from customers relocating the ground.

I went to Walmart and got a ground used for a lawnmower. I'll see if I can source which one it was.
Edit: found the post that gave me the idea. https://acurazine.com/forums/perform.../#post10118659
