OEM p/n question

I just purchased a front motor mount on e bay for my 2005 Acura TL. OEM is
50830 SDB A04. Hastily I made the purchase based on matching part numbers. This motor mount even connects to the factory vacuum hose.

After purchasing I decided to input my year make and model into the helpful "does this part fit your car" tool, that is frequently seen on eBay seller pages. Message came back that part is not compatible with my vehicle.

I've just written to seller for clarification, but was hoping for some assurance that I'm home free on this issue due to p/n matching up, and the fact that the part is showing as compatible with 2005 Honda 3.0

Yes I should have used the compatibility tool first, and yes this may be a stupid question, but thanks for reading.

You really should stick with OEM on those but its difficult to answer your question because who knows if what the seller is offering does go with your car. The "does my part fit your car" tool isnt always accurate. I would continue to communicate with the seller, if you get it and it doesnt match up make sure you can return it.

Thanks eastcoastguy. Seller just confirmed part will fit. I was initially going to lay out $180 delivered for OEM part, because I wanted the vacuum hose connection that came with original part. This thing popped up for sale today, $60 delivered.

Given that the OEM part has poor reviews, figured I'd take a chance.

Thanks again for your help

Depending on which ones you got they are not going to be much better than OEM. It's not that OEM have poor reviews, its just the way the car is and they tend to go. The only ones that are going to last you longer are the ones offered here by a few of the vendors made out of different material. However, those are a lot stiffer and cause you to feel a lot of the vibrations!

Seller was called "fulltrustprod" 100% favorable rating. He certainly talks a good game! :-)

Here's a couple of comments from his page:

Hi, this mount has the Vacuum Line Connector to connect the hose and it is filled with hydraulic fluid from factory so that the fluid absorbs the engine vibration. Our advice is: "never install this mount without these features (Solid Option) in your car or you will feel your car like a blender".

Keep in mind this: "The most important feature that a motor or a transmission mount must have is the good quality of the rubber. When the rubber was made from synthetic components the rubber stinks and that means it will not last long. However, when the rubber was made from natural components that means it has the quality required to contain any vibration".

I'll update this with any manufacturers stamps I find on the part, and also my mechanics opinion, in a couple of weeks. I'll know straight away if it "feels" good.Obviously can't judge if it's good quality till thousands of miles have been travelled with it.
