XLR8 exhaust with HFPC's

Does anyone know how much sound difference the RV6 HFPC's cause? I have seen videos that have stock TL's with the HFPC's, but I would like to know if anyone has any videos of an XLR8 exhaust with them (preferably not resonated) or if anyone has heard it. So basically I just want to know if they are a good way to increase sound as well as performance without rasp and bad smell like PCD's.

i don't have a video but i have the xlr8 resonated with hfpcs. the xlr8 was decently loud but it got a lot louder when i added the hfpcs. i ended up switching out the small xlr8 resonator (barely bigger than piping) and added in a bigger resonator. i think xlr8 has by far the best sound and paired with the hfpcs it just sounds SWEET. plus throw in an aem v2 and it's even more amazing.

i'll see if i can get a video soon but honestly no promises because my wife hates when i make her involved with car stuff (especially taking video haha).

no me it's a no brainer to go HFPCs over PCDs. yes you lose maybe 1-3 hp but you avoid rasp and don't smell too bad...there's more smell when you go HFPCs but not anything like PCDs. plus if you have visual inspections for smog, the HFPCs have a much better chance of passing because they don't look like straight pipes haha

go xlr8 exhaust and hfpcs and don't even think twice haha.

So you only added a bigger resonator because it was too loud for you? Not because the HFPC's made it raspy or obnoxious?

Was it raspy when you first got them installed? Like did you notice any rasp that eventually went away?

When I had my HFPCs with XLR8 j pipe and resonated exhaust, it sounded good, but was loud and yes it had rasp and drone.

I would think HFPCs would cause some rasp, but it probably depends on your setup. Just from FamilyGuy and Sockr1 having different experiences shows it depends. If you do the J-Pipe as well you might be more likely to get rasp.
