Will 2006 model take Baya transmission and j35a6?

My 05 TL is beat to shit cosmetically and I figure the cost to take care off all these issues would be more than purchasing a shell and doing an engine & transmission swap down the line.

As I mentioned in the title my 05 currently has a BAYA imported transmission and j35a6 which both are somewhat of a rarity and cost a decent sum. Hence why I cannot let the car go even if I wanted to so I've concluded that I'd much rather purchase another TL and once I have issues with either the engine or transmission just swap it.

So I do know my setup wouldn't be plug and play for the 07-08 models but can find the answer as to whether the 06 model is achievable. Can anyone answer this question with a credible link or post I just spent the last half hour searching on the web without a definitive answer

What do you think is different between 05-06 models that would preclude the swap?

I'm curious where your BAYA transmission was imported from; I ask because by definition, all BAYA transmissions are built in the U.S.A. for North American cars. And yes, any 2005/2006 TL which came from the factory with an automatic transmission can be used to swap your motor and tranny into; and I believe the 2004 models will work as well.
