After looking @ alot of dynos, i noticed my AFR was 15 on all three dyno pulls...

why am i so lean? is this the cause of lost power? i only put down 227whp with every bolt on & some 19"s

The dyno guy should be able to tell you if something is really wrong or maybe a reflash is needed with your mods

One would hope the dyno shop has specs for your car so they can diagnose and retune for you as needed

Yeah, that seems super low for all those bolt on's.

What kind of Dyno was it?

My car feels slow as hell when it is 104 degrees out, was it really hot and humid during your runs?

I swear my car feels slower every month that i have been in Cali, it is starting to piss me off.

You should be much higher, i though a stock AT would be close to those numbers?

Dynojet or dynapack? Either way, seems low but I hope that's what ur putting to the ground, at least. 2 answer ur question, running lean WILL rob u of power. Get it checked out.

as i said in the other thread, was the dyno's a/f sensor hooked up? what kind did they use? the sniffer in the tailpipe or an o2 sensor in the exhaust flow?

sniffer in the tailpipe i believe... in another thread (sorry to mix em up) 2007 Type S Dyno... i wrote some new things ive noticed.

my gas mileage has been exceptionally well, not just the Trip MPG, but overall gas consumption. i made a 270 mile round trip yesterday @ a constant 80mph or more (sometimes 100... and i only used half a tank of gas & thats with my 19"s on, and my A/C running for a few minutes now and then..

i know heat slows the car down, but she feels really "heavy" lately , and not as peppy as usual. the last mod i did was the UR pulley about 2 months ago... i dont think that would have something to do with it.

I cant bring her to Acura, cause of all the aftermarket stuff on it.. and overall, it seems to be running just fine and quite reliable as always. I just feel like something is robbing me of power... i am going to bring her somewhere else for a dyno, and see what that machine reads

notice how i refer to my car, as "her" all the time lol

Acura cannot void any warranty without proving its the cause of the problem. (if there is one)

Its all dependent on the dealer really. But the rule of thumb dealers go by is that if theres no CEL, theres no problem. And usually thats the way to think of it too.

You can get a compression test to see if all cylinders are within close range.

Sniffer in taipipe....the TL has 2 outlets, if the sniffer was in on only one outlet, then its not an accurate reading. Air is leaner by the time it reaches the tail pipe. The most accurate area for a/f measurement is where the o2 sensors are.

Stop worrying so much buddy, i'm sure ur car is perfectly fine. Gas mileage still normal, everything runs good, have fun!

If it's the one @ the tailpipe, make sure you don't have any exhaust leaks or it'll throw the A/F reading off. If you have a wideband before the cat, then you can compare.

go back and retighten all the bolts on ur mods espicially your procats. if you have an air leak ull be losing power

good call... wouldnt a loose CAT throw a CEL? my mechanic used the nissan liquid silicone, i think. should i just stick a wrench in there and tighten them? is there a factory torq spec?

should i also tighten the exhaust bolts ?

i have noticed that me AEM CAI has been throwing off ALOT , ALOT of whistling. honestly, the thing sounds like a turbo. @ 3k rpm, it starts to whistle like a turbo spool, and when i shift, it actually makes a sound like a BOV and it starts to whistle as i hit 3k rpm again.... very strange IMO....

oh and its a DynoJet, so they are more "realistic" numbers.... 227whp, 198.11tq... seems way too low. especially with like almost $3k in mods !!!

ive been thinking about dumping her for an 07 Type-S people are putting down 250+ whp on stock Type S !! i am no where near that, and if i throw on the UR, AEM, CT catback(if it fits) i should be pushing down 260whp... i wonder if the pro-cats fit the TL-S

They do fit the Type-S

The gains are not as high though bc the Type-s has cats that flow better, or so i here

yea, i think the type=s has 600cell/in CATS , the TL-P has 1200 cell and the EShifts are 200 cell.. so it will probably be a gain of 50% opposed to my car. i guess like 10whp.... not bad... not worth $1300, but if ya already own them, why not !!
