what are the odds?
so i recently purchased and installed a cai and ive been told by a few friends it was the wrong way to go and should have gotten a short ram...the reason being is that is has the possiblity to "suck up water" is there any way to prevent that from happening without just avoiding water puddles?? ahead of time thanks for the help guys

where are you from?
does the water get higher than 1/4 the height of the car?
you're only at risk when the engine is ON and you drive through a HUGE MOTHER OF A PUDDLE i mean a puddle that you could sit in and bathe in.
the only other risk is if the water level is so high, that it can get into the car when it's off. - but by that time you're car's fucked anyway...
and if you're in an area that constantly has water levels as high as the acura emblem on your car? then you're at risk only if you turn on your engine...but who the hell drives through weather like that anyway?
so short answer is NO...but dont quote me on it if you DO decide to drive through such conditions.
if you really feel uneasy sell or trade your CAI on the blackmarket section of this site.
