If you're drivin the speed limit, you're ridin in the drone bomb...

 

i agree but only when cruise control has to add more throttle..if you drive 75-80 its not very noticable...in my experiences it is very controllable and you can really only hear it if you give it throttle...i can put up with the drone due to the sex it makes in the upper rpm..and the 9 whp...cant complain either..

yeah autos are nice around town..but to see an auto TL run a 14.8 and a 6-speed run a 13.9 both with intakes...kinda makes the 6-speed supreme...
I ran AcuraTein at the Nopi nationals on the interstate and i pulled him...he has a supercharger and i had just an intake...6-speed>auto supercharged

haha. you guys heard him correctly! We definitely did a quick 3rd gear sprint on I-75 after leaving the show damnit did he stay about 10 feet ahead of my car all the way through the gear. That sole run was what made me extract all the interior components and to plan a 6MT swap. But then again it was in the Georgia heat and the SC is worthless in those conditions.

 

I hate auto, but I'm in Manhattan once a week and six speed is awful in traffic.

exhaust sounds great btw man, esp how after u flew by the camera man then u shifted again...sick....can any AUTO TL with evo2 confirm that it sounds like this on their car too?
for some reason i think at higher rpms the sound dies out for auto...idk maybe wrong

Just to let u know, i ran a 14.73 in my auto w/ just CAI.. And I believe u have more than CAI, right? u got p2r spacers and better tires// sun w/e w/e systems..

You can basically say my a/t was BONE stock except for AEM CAI/ a-spec body kit(which makes no diff in performance).. I know I can hit a 14.6 .... with better tires, i'm sure i can do it.

 

I thought i was the only crazy one.., I feel ya man, whenever i WOT, the exhaust sound dies after 3k, then comes back at around 3.5k-4k rpms, then ALL MOTOR, no exhaust sound...

 

if you have an intake @ vtec range all you will hear is the (dare I bring it back) "wolf getting fucked in the ass"

 

Would you be up for a friendly run? My 6spd vs your auto type-s? I've got intake and the greddy evo2's installed only. I think it would be fun as hell.

ps. I got my skunk2 custom catback, the sound doesn't die out at all, it just gets drowned out by the intake vtec wot

very true..one thing tho..auto traction>6-speed traction, you have a torque converter to sponge the power a lil..6-speed is pretty much straight to the ground

 

All in all that is the only reason us AT guys can pull on 6sped... Personally I am AT during the week... MT during the weekend courtesy of an lsd tranny and a built b18 all motor nonvtec

 

why non vtec? put a b16 head and some skunk pro 2's on the mofo..are you boosted?

I am focusing on the tl... it was nice getting 205hp out of an N/A LS block...but with all the problems I ran in along the way shit... I went through 2 trannys before the lsd... the driver side motor mount to this day I don't trust... so I grew up lol

 

i've gotten a dyno run and I think Type-s09 maybe given the P2R TB Spacer
and Sun Auto IniZma Hyper Voltage/Ground a little too much credit. But I maybe wrong since i'm not a type-s. I gained 10.4whp on mine, just for the exhaust.

Use the sequential and redline it in 3rd then run with it. You will hit 140 in no time. A Mustang GT found that out, the hard way. That's what I heard.

 

It sound ok. It sound like it was going to explode in 2nd and 3rd. What caused that?
