Fletcher built 3.5 intake

Not 100% <br/>Still needs a support bracket, MAF fitting welded in and paint.

This is my latest endeavor for someone else. Needs a few mor odds and ends but it's coming along nicely. Should have it wrapped up by the end next week.

It's not, but I would like a little credit when it's due. Now, I did look back on post before me and nothing was really happening on this "RDX Performance" forum. Just a lot of talk. Did I push the envelop and make people want to go further; I don't know, you tell me...

To me it looks like he's out of MAF and made a bigger intake regardless if anyone else made one.

You sound like how you perceived dresx. you remember how much used to hate it when people would take credit for shit ? If someone is due a thanks they get it. If they are acting like this goofy shit and being what I would call a forum hore not so much.
I was looking into MAF scaling issues over year ago once I had a direction to move in I did. I've been running 3 1/2 inch intake since the beginning of May so anybody that goes with Vit isn't going to start at ground zero .

Don't question what I'm using in my build, act like it's crazy, then turn around and use the same thing.

Aaaand the silliness ePenis waving continues....seriously, what gives with the I'm doing big thangs attitude versus trying to help everyone move the platform along. We should be encouraging people with their advances, and not arguing over who does what first. Who gives an eff?

WRENCH, YOu should add this to my Custom intake thread that i created, which has nothing to do with bigger turbos or whatever, because people like me don't wanna upgrade everything on this engine, someone (myself included) might want a custom intake that is as good as CPE but not the CPE pricing since its just a aluminum pipe that draws cooler air and can't justify paying $300 for it. or K&N same shit, $300 …. So, Very glad you posted this, and maybe you can add a price and if your willing to maybe make a few more for the noobies, again including myself, who just bought their RDX and are reading this forum for the information and not for the pissing contest. with that said Thanks again.

Have you ever played Gran Turismo or Forza? When you get a car, do you leave it stock or do you put as many mods on it as you can? Hey it's fun, why not?

this intake is ONLY usable AFTER you have Flash Pro so for them to be worth it they are really only feasible after you've got a full exhaust, injectors, cat less down pipe, and an upgraded inter cooler.

also these aren't cheap ass p.o.s. intakes they took a fair bit of time to make test and paint. once i have this one done i'll post a few pics for people to compare it to others.

as far as power is concerned they will allow the above mentioned combination to "max out" its potential. and no one knows what that is yet so i cant answer that question. slowteg is going down that road as is sargem they will be able to answer those questions in due time.

this is the pudding and I'm driving the proof. it feels much better and this intake is good for 300+wheel HP and 370+ wheel TQ this thing moves out on the highway in 5th gear now(2,500-3,000rpm). and if i get in it with the triangle on its an animal. the current tune is set for 313whp and 339wtq in an effort to save the torque converter and the transmission. no one really knows what power level they will tolerate. if your interested in one i can fab it up for you please pm with questions.

i did make 2 small cuts in order to make installation a great deal easier. if you don't want to cut then your filter would be in the engine bay and not in front of the tire.

Nice to see a legit cold air intake.

First one I've seen built for the 1st iteration of the first gen!

It actually intakes cold air instead of a short intake fed by under hood (hot) air.

Dang some butthurt on this forum! I think it's great to see any and everyone pushing the limit on any platform. Great job on the intake and the results speak louder than forum noise.

Yall should just be lucky I'm older and wiser (and have another performance vehicle that gets the attention) or there would be another serious contender for "pushing the limit" on this platform

(Built one of the world's first 2.8L standalone ECU STIs with 1.5 year+ and about a Z06 worth of build cost into it :P)
