Stock but I removed the resonator. Physics wise, I would guess its about 75% as efficient as an aftermarket intake, with none of the cost.

Keep in mind with the extra air flow, the stock air filter gets dirty a bit faster, but thats a small price to pay IMO.

STOCK for the mother fucking winnnnnnnnnn!

there are not much gains with a CAI.
the stock system is already a cold air intake, and the paper filter is not the restriction. the throttle body is.

replace the throttle body with a larger diameter TB. Port and polish the intake manifold and its runners and you will see a big improvement with a cold air intake.
without those supporting mods, you're just gaining noise.
and at 300 dollars a pop, thats an expensive noise maker.

What about AEM V2? Is it worth the extra bucks? If so, I'm kind of confused on what model to get to fit on my 07 TL. Is it the 24-6110C one? Anyone?

Listen to this man, listen to ME! I got the AEM V2 without those supporting mods and it does POOP. It sounds aggressive but I guess you can get that by removing resonator on stock intake.

I might try those supporting mods though Justin...

I believe the 09 TL throttle body is a larger diameter.
ours is i believe 72mm while the 09 TB is 80mm.
the civic si guys have been doing this mod! their TB is smaller than ours, I Think.
although, I believe they use a spacer of some sort or adapter to get it to fit. I dont know if ours is plug and play, it should since both ua6 and ua9 are j motors.

port and polish the intake manifold and its runners will produce the best gains.

Dude, justnspace, is this your thread or mine? Wtf is your problem? Has anyone ever told you that you're annoying as fuck? You always post some kind disrespectful comment in every one of my threads that pisses me off. This has got to stop. I really appreciate your advice, but that doesn't mean I have to go by what you say. It's my car, not yours.

As for my intake - 3in CAI with K&N. Easily under $100 back in the day.

It's honestly not the fact that he said something about my bumping, it's the fact that he always has to be a smart ass about everything with me.

Don't worry about it man, he called me a circus monkey once, he does that. You learn to read between the lines. He actually has useful things to say.

lol!

Here's my Ram Air/Cold Air in my experience was only useful on the older muscle (Carbureted) Cars. 70 Chevelle/69 Camaro, two cars I can speak from experience. I also do'nt see how it is possible to guage any gains from a CAI/Ram Air unless you are on the road at speed with air being forced into the intake.

My bad. I think it was $160 to me 'out of pocket' as I had a $50 credit in my PayPal account. Bought it from an eBayer that had it for $210. Still, just searched Nextag, Amazon, Google and it can be had for $189...Fujita MA-1006.

An intake is and intake is and intake. buy some pipe w/ a K&N filter and save yourself a couple hundred. None of them give you much in gains just some sound. I have a custom on my S/C, Maybe cost 50.00.

Gains on the 80mm TB likely won't be any more than boring out the stock TB, which is to say 1-2 whp. At $637 retail, and $100+ for the adapter, I'll pass.
