Don't think of it as discouraging new members from asking questions....think of it as encouraging new members to use the search function....which the OP needs to discover apparently.

The reason for your thanks count is because of people like ebelp who like trolls and being a dick to new members. If you like being a dick, do it to people in person so you can experiance the results.
Eblep, giving someone search terms or links is helping, not telling them you hate them. Even just the words TL diet would have been good.

Plastic engine covers, trunk liner, spare tire, tools, jack, hood liner, front bumper damper, floor mats, owners manual, loose change, etc...
Those are the simple things that you won't miss. Remove the rear seat, door panels and interior trim prices if you want to get serious.

Make your Mom (and or Aunt) take the bus!
Sorry, you had that coming!
Seriously, when you have time, read Swoosh's thread/Innacurates thread on the TL diet...there's even a thread on the 2G side for it too. A lot of things you CAN remove and will make a big impact on the weight of the car.
Veggie had a TL...he's not a troll. He's just irritable at times but does add a lot of good informative posts IMO.

only bring the keys that you "need" with you (eg. car KEY and house KEY) no car remote or spare keys. NOTE: for serious dieter's only
remove metal glove box plate too, and trunk damper, and the 5mph impact bumper's front and rear.
