I'm definitely in for resonated. I've got a 27" resonator on my custom magnaflow setup right now to keep it subtle.

I'm not feeling this one so much. It's not going to look stock and looks cropped. If you want stock tips I have a custom magnaflow catback with stock tips I'll be selling shortly.

Sounds like you have the same resonator as me, I'm going to the 4" round X 20" long resonator. If this is produced ( )I will sell mine as well.

dunno if anyone wants my input, but i want to see on the production exhaust:

1. the exhaust tips be pushed out further than stock (or even further) so it's at least flush with the aspec bumper cover diffuser, whereas the stock tips are sunken in
2. i'm not paying 1k for an aftermarket exhaust with stock tips or that looks like stock

the reason this thread is this long is simply because there are many of us who want a catback option that retains the stock look.

I agree. I don't want a ricey, blatantly aftermarket looking exhaust either. At the same time the tips aren't going to look exactly stock unless you reuse the original stock tips like many of us have done with our custom cat-backs.

What I'm looking for is something that blends in very well with the base TL design so that someone looking at a TL for the first time would think ... damn those tips look tight for a stock setup, not ... damn those tips look like an obvious aftermarket retrofit.

The tips should be something that only people who know what to look for would notice, not something that's going to slap everyone in the face to get their attention. I think this has as much to do with how the tips fit the cutout shape from the rear-view as well as how they blend into the lines of the bumper from the side-view.

I'm fine with the tips being a bit bigger than stock as long as they conform to the shape of the cutout (like the ASPEC concept) and are tucked up as much as they can be without causing problems with the bumper.

Sound is another big factor as well. It should only be noticable to people who know what to look for, be slightly audible inside the cabin over the stereo so you can figure out where the engine's at without looking at the tach, and have a nice smooth frequency response as it revs out.

Performance numbers have to be there as well since that's one of the main reasons I'm switching off my custom magnaflow cat-back w/ crimp bends.

Ok, I've installed the Base bumper back on my car so I can ensure a good fit, without having to bring back and fourth a prototype vehicle. We currently focusing on finishing the ATLP J-Pipe which should be taken care of by the beginning of next week. Then we will have a week longer where the RDX is waiting for it's prototype. After that, we're up.

I kinda' liked the Porsche look, but this looks pretty tight as well. And I originally had no intention of buying a cat back. What would this do with a J pipe on a base 6MT... maybe 12-15hp?? Fuck, I need a second job.

This will yield the same gains as the Quad Exhaust cat-back, and will also help along with the J-pipe. The J-Pipe works with the stock system (as I have felt gains on mine), but having the cat-back exhaust only allows the J-Pipe AND the exhaust system to utilize the most potential.

I hope this isn't a stupid question but do gains build off of each other?

We will have a resonator option which isn't a problem.

We are waiting for the tip now which will be in about a week or two.
