If your looking for 0 cabin noise, in all honesty stock is your best option. With any sport exhaust, you will see increased sound, but drone is different, and IMO it's very minimal with this system.

damn guys, give the man a break. I'm sure he's trying his best to get these things done in a quick manner for us. He doesn't HAVE to be pushing to get these made. He HAS his exhaust. Other people love his quad tip exhaust, and they're selling well, so he doesn't HAVE to go out and get another set just to please other who want a "sleeper" look.
So if he says 10 days, and they don't send it out to him til day 11, and he can't tell us til day 12, 13, or maybe even 14th day, just calm down.
I have no fears that he would hide any info from us when he gets it, so just wait patiently.
I know many of us wait in anticipation for this, but it's much easier to wait when you're not counting down the days when something is SUPPOSED to show up/arrive.

Mike, it's great that you're finally hooking us up with an exhaust tailored to the base TL's. But are we going to see similar gains and sound as the Type-S's? I would love to see an extra 11 hp from this!

Here is the latest prototype.
Fitment is perfect. Size I love...as well as the look.
Now, here is the dilemma.
Because this tip is angled only from top to bottom, not side to side (a la TL-S side slant) it looks GREAT on the Base A-spec rear lip, however, it looks like a sore thumb on a base - stock bumper (without a kit). The sides just stick out too much, and especially since it's bigger, it shows a lot more than stock.
What I want to know is this. Because it looks good on the a-spec, are most people, if not all, planning to get this with the A-spec kit anyway? Are there even any that aren't going to get a rear lip kit, or don't plan to?
The bad: We can have it slanted just like stock. This will make it look good with the base bumper and a-spec kit. But it will also increase the cost a little based on the fact that two separate tools, one for each side, have to be created. It will also take another 10-14 days until I can get that final sample here.

Is that how the inside of the tip going to look like on the finished product? I like how the inside of the ATLP quads look with those holes. I say leave it the way it is. You can't please everyone. There are about 60-70% that has the A-Spec kit. And I'm sure we aren't going to be happy either if the tips are hidden. The worst the non A-Spec ppl can do is get the kit.

I'm not planning on getting the a-spec kit so it would be nice to have the option to have it work with both base and a-spec kit...
If I do decide to get the kit it probably would only be the front lip.

Those tips are good enough for me! I also want to know if this exhaust is going to be resonated as well. I didn't enjoy sound of the non-resonated quad exhaust in person. I have aspec to keep the tips the way they are so we can get our exhaust!

Yeah Mike I agree with Italiano. Having the tips slanted to follow the lines of a a non A-spec and A-spec bumper seems like it would flow better and have a cleaner look without having to buy another mod. Having the pipes sticking out to me, would cheapen the design of the exhaust. Waiting an extra 14-days is nothing for a quality piece. Thanks again Mike for presenting us with some different options and being so open to feedback.
